Very nice major label debut.
Great CD haven't stopped listening to it since it came out.
Looks like it's not below Randy Moore (whoever he thinks he is) to kiss a little teenie bopper's butt in order to plug himself. "Clever songwriting?" He clearly doesn't know why he loathes Nashville, other than it's the hip thing to say, and has no clue why Miranda and her album represent the epitome of over production and image driven. In addition, he also doesn't mind promoting Steve Earle, a seditious American self hater who spends more time preaching his own brand of communism that making anything worth listening to. If you can see a connection between Al Queda's own John Walker and Miranda's writing than I award her 1 less star.
Finally a female singer that has something to say. One whos approach to making records is not image driven (even tho she's very attractive). Just read the lyrics to her songs on Kerosene (she wrote all but one). Clever songwriting that reminds me of a young Steve Earle and that's a good thing. The record sounds good and is not overproduced. Nashville should wake up and quit copying last years formula for a hit. Miranda has a bright future in front of her by just being herself!

Not the greatest song selections on a first album.
Can we say copycat? We have a Natalie Maines, she may be AWOL, but she exists.
Miranda Lambert has a really good sound but the biggest thing that jumped out at me as to what was missing in her songs was the sound of a fiddle. I think she needs a more traditional country sound with more steel guitar and fiddle. I hope she doesnt let Nashville ruin her with the pop crap they are producing now.
Miranda should have won Nashville Star. She clearly was the more original and creative contestant and deserved the win. However, Miranda wants to be Shania Twain and to be perfectly honest, the current Nashville sound is extremely unpopular here in Texas, even if fans aren't exactly sure why they hate Nashville. Miranda has the potential to do something good, but it's not currently on any of her albums. My prediction is that she will hit and miss with pop albums pushed to the country charts for the next few years until Nashville considers here over the hill. If she had any taste, she'd follow in Emmy Lou Harris' footsteps and not Martina McBride's. I hate this pop music crap, but I'm pulling for Miranda to do something real in the future. 2 stars.
she is the hottest girl in texas music and she sounds really good! i love her music an want to meet her!
She is the hottest girl in Texas Music!!!!
