High points on the disc include " Sweet Summertime" which would fit nicely into the Ray Charles songbook; a gritty folk rocker titled " Cold Spot" that rises to the level of the best of John Mellencamp; a smattering of anthemic ballads ( "Airplane" , " Everybody" ) that bring to mind the solid songcraft of Five For Fighting's John Ondrasik. - Performing Songwriter

If I could give Troy more than five stars I would. I saw him open up for Teitur in Urbana, IL and was blown away. I'll admit I didn't really give him any attention. I figured, this guy is the opener, he probably won't be that great. Then I heard "Cold Spot." I immediately bought his album on Itunes Music Store and all of his songs have been quickly added to my 25 most played list. Absolutely amazing and truly gifted!

He opened for Teitur in Urbana, IL at The Canopy Club. Troy did an acoustic set and absolutely blew me away!

Unbeleivable sound and command of his listners.

Troy Johnson rocks!!! He played at a friend's party over the 4th of July weekend on his way to open for Hootie in Bensenville and he totally rocked! Hey Alex, the Ciaccio/Jones party is on July 5 next year!

I heard Troy in Chicago at Martyrs and was completely blown away. I bought the record and could'nt believe how good it was. I highly recomend this record and hope you go check him out live.
