What an awesome talent! Growing up in the same family as Wes; we all knew this kid was headed for big things ever since he could talk! This CD plays very frequently at my house and #2-Shattered is a special song to us. Wes writes from the heart and he and the band perform from the heart for the fans. Love you!

Wes Nickson's fresh take on Texas country music is refreshing in this age of Pat and Cory wannabes. He has amazing vocal talent and an amazing gift for songwriting. Anyone can identify with the emotions of his lyrics be it love, heartache, happiness, or any other emotion. "On the Porch Swing" reminds me every time of my highschool girl friend and the good times we had until she died of Syphillus in Italy. "Barely Holding On" captures his vocal talent and the soul of his songwriting perfectly.

this is an amazing album. yeah, it may only have 8 songs, but all of them are terrific, extremely well written and produced. i would rather buy an album with 8 great songs, than one with 15 songs and half of them suck! Wes Nickson has one of the best voices that Texas Country has seen in a long, long while. It's great to hear a band with their own style. One that's not so hell bent on being a Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed rip off! I bought this one and i will definately by the next one and the one after that.
