Here's a link to the lyrics. Find one line that is positive about the troops. Just one. Yet RK calls it a "tribute".
This song is about Washington, which is fine but it's not a tribute considering everone in this war now either enlisted, re-enlisted or continued their commission after the war began.
The review by OIF/GWOT VET makes it obvious he hasn't even listened to the song. Probably just heard about it from a friend who heard about it from someone else. But he's by-God outraged. Go listen to some Toby K pal. That'll make it all better.
"I think we can all agree that the troops deserve absolute support and respect for the job they are doing and 'American Blood' is a tribute to the sacrifices made by the men and women in uniform and their families." -Willy Braun
Negative. This song is a cliche of liberal talking points. It's not a tribute and this statement is cowardly.
If you think that Reckless Kelly is ignorant, they aren't. They wrote a disclaimer on their website about the song. They do support the troops. Read the disclaimer, you might, then understand what they are singing about. They are a talented young group in America and they have the right to write whatever songs they choose.
If your not stepping on someone's toes, you're not trying to climb high enough. Keep on reaching
Ya you stupid piece of poop, screw you, American Blood is a bad ass song, go back to Nashville with all of those other homos, i'll bet you fit right in!
Great cd through and through. Yep, even American Blood!
Well I guess it was only a matter of time before Reckless joined the herd and wrote an ignorant song about Iraq. Give me a break guys, seriously.
Bulletproof is the masterpiece we fans have been waiting for. R K is the best damn band in the USA. See them live and jump on board!
