The Lost Trailers bio we used to have up from their label compared the group to Kenny Chesney and phrased it as a good thing. We decided to update it ourselves here at LSM. Our take: The Lost Trailers are a Georgia-based quintent that used to rock until they sold their souls for a few coppers and a support slot on tour with the pec-implanted demon of Nashville. Now they play the same weak-ass country music wallpaper you can hear anywhere. Welcome to the Woods is a great disc, but steer clear of any of their CDs released after 2004.

This is trash, and I don't mean trailer trash. I'm sure where the trailers went, but I have a feeling it is outside of texas or georgia, perhaps nashville. I have every CD from "Story of the New Age Cowboy" to "Welcome to the Woods", and it is great work. But now they have changed their sound and setup with Ryder sing most of their songs. I won't buy this album, and I'm not sure I will buy their next CD either. I am so disapointed in these guys.

Saw them last night in Bloomington, IL. Absolutely terrible, maybe they should go hold hands with their other sellout brothers Pat Green and Jack Ingram. When Travis Tritt's "Here's A Quarter..." is your third song in your first set you should hang it up. Not even worth my time typing anymore...Just lost all respect for them.........

I have known these boys since before they were a band. I agree this CD that is not the best they have done. But with out change there is not growth. I would like to see some songs like Angel, Barn Yard Smoke Break, and Fried Chicken come out on a CD again; perhaps their "Greatest Hits" CD. It makes me proud to see their sucess. Eagerly awaiting to see whats next!

They need to be gone. Off the site and any other site of this kind. I am actually hurt at how horrible this album is. They were at one time a favorite for me and many of my friends. I could talk about selling out and giving in to the money and fame. Instead I take the stance that image is everything and substance is nothing. Bad is just plain bad. Bought the CD and through it in the trash, wasted my money. They are dead to me.

I have seen these guys several times, and will continue following them, but I have to say that Stokes was the voice that brought me to love this band, and not that Ryder is bad, he just doesn't have that cool, smokey (almost Bob Dylan) sound that Stokes has. I was disappointed when I picked up the new CD to find that Stokes maybe had 1 or 2 vocals on the entire album. Welcome to the Woods has Ryder doing a few of the songs, but still it is mostly Stokes. I do like this album, don't get me wrong, but if you want to hear Stokes sing songs like Fire on the Pontchartrain, The Battery, Under FM Waves or Favorite Friends, this album is not for you, however if you like the sound Ryder Lee brings get the CD!! I would love to fall alseep listen to Stokes strum on his guitar working on words to their next great song, MARRY ME STOKES!!

Anyone who listened to their old stuff can tell you that they changed their stripes on the new CD...its not terrible...but its pretty bad. What happened to the piano/organs? Traded for a steal guitar on almost all the songs..what about the lyrics? They seem pretty generic country to me: fishing with grandpa, being raised country to make mama proud...man this is a band that has some GREAT stuff...cocain bags and your lovers number in a baby bed. I'm scratching my head. Also, I've yet to see a review from someone who loved the old stuff that likes the new CD. I'm sure there's someone. Also...did anyone notice that the chicken song is not on the new cd? They've been playing it live for about 2 years and its good! But its not on the new CD. The sound has changed...definately. Some will think for the better...but not me. Hopefully this is a blip b/c I love seeing them live and still think their old stuff is awesome. I went from liking every single one of their songs...to liking 2 or so on the new CD. Very disappointed.

There are some excellent songs on this CD, but I was upset when I heard the "Big & Rich" songs though. What the hell is that doin' in the Texas Music scene?
