How do you describe Shane Rogers? While the following may sound overblown and questionable in it's accuracy, the guys think it makes them sound really cool so listen up. Shane Rogers grew up in the small West Texas town of Canyon just south of Amarillo. Like the wind and rain that shaped the nearby Palo Duro, the songcraft of Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard cut and fashioned Shane's soul with the stories of honky tonks, hard living, and bad women. Some time later, the strains of rock and roll also entered into his life and became the catalyst for what was to become. If the populous knew what the future had in store for them they would have started hiding the womenfolk right then and there. But the world would have to wait a little longer. After eight years of teaching Marines how to kick ass, Shane returned to West Texas. Eager to unleash a new musical vision to the masses, Shane joined forces with the Texas Roadhouse Band in 2001. Known for their blistering live shows and tight three part harmonies, Shane Rogers and the Texas Roadhouse Band have quickly found themselves doing shows with the likes of Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland and Pat Green to name a few. 2003 saw a new chapter unfold for Shane Rogers. The release of "Texas Kind of Mood" proved what many die hard fans have known for some time. It's music to fall in love to, have a heartbreak, kick someone's ass and party till your mind melts all in one package. Shane's songwriting can hit you like two fists of barbwire and leave you bleeding only to come back with a ballad so sincere and heartfelt that you forgive him till the next round. We invite everyone to come to a live show or grab the new CD, pop a cold one and join the growing army of listeners that know that Shane Rogers and the Texas Roadhouse Band is a new musical force to be reckoned with.

I'd give 0 stars if it were an option. A friend gave me this album as a joke. It's the worst I've ever heard. Enough of the "weed" songs, my god its been done a million times. Save your money.

DAMN!!!! if you weren't in San Angelo on New Year's....you missed out!! These guys rocked!! THey busted out Prince and some Elvis....you asked for it they played in true Roadhouse Band fashion!! That Brent dude..I think he can play any song and Mark and Monte can follow!! Shane steps back and gives them the spotlight like a true gentleman and Joe Boles hammers out the beats like a crazy man!! KEEP ROCKIN 2005!!

I think Shane Rogers rocks. I noticed several complaints dealt with him cussing. Who in Texas Country does not? Bottom line, they are a fun band to watch, have a good mix of cover tunes and originals. They would be 5 stars if their originals were a little better, but pretty good for a rookie effort

Give it a break. This guy Shane has only had about 2 bad reviews out of so many. And the last one was over a month ago. What are you crying about? I don't see any recent bashing. Makes me not want to see the show.

Just me!!
OK.....I am putting out a challenge to all of these people that have bashed Shane to take a chance and take a roadtrip to San Angelo to see then for New Year's!! The CD rocks...the show has changed so much.....drinks or not...these guys are some of the friendliest and most appreciative of their fans and loyal friends. There is always time for a conversation or even a hello with these guys!! Come on I dare you!!!

No one special
Wow there are a lot of asses that had their Post Toasties peed in, now didn't they. Jeez people, it is supposed to be a review, not an arena to go Shane bashing in!!! I guess you know what my opinion is, yeah, I love the CD and I love every live show I have ever been to as well. Their stage presence is something to be awed, I have never seen a band have that much energy, drinking or not. One of the best things about it is that you can tell that they are having fun up there. Keep up the GREAT work and keep Kickin’ Ass!!

Well quite honestly I haven't been able to see Shane and the guys play in a couple of months and it breaks my heart! I am currently living in Dallas and I have seen several live bands here and in my opinion (and yes opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one) Shane and the guys blow them all away. My boyfriend, who is currently in the military and just recently home from Qatar was very adimate about seeing the guys play again. He has also played the CD for many of his friends and they are all hooked, even the ones that said they would never like any country music. The fact remains that they have a great sound and are able to be either serious (Headed Home) or fun (I Love That Crazy B*@#*). I hope that Shane and the band keep up the good work, and despite what others opinions might be, my opinion of it is that it is good work, and I look forward to seeing another live show and having another CD in my collection soon.
