Artist Review
Ryan Turner has a smooth - soulful rich sound - best of all he is down to earth and reallly knows how to work his audience - in an honest true way. As a fan you feel he is really glad you are there no matter what age or background you have. I truly believe Ryan is on his way to the top!! What a terrific voice.

I really enjoy this CD, all of it. Have it in my apt and in my car...whatever my mood is, Ryan's got a song that fits. And the thing is, I've seen him live and acoustic, and he's even better in person and can totally deliver even solo. Awesome.

I have been listening to Ryan for 2 years now and his music is unbeatable. If you are listening to his c.d. you can't help but turn up the volume and sing along. If you are seeing him live, you can't help but get up and dance. The heart of his music always comes through, and it's an added plus that he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Absolutely nothing short of amazing!!! There will always be critics but I can tell you that I am blown away by this music. It is honest and true, it is fun and groovy, it is insightful, it is inspiring....it is amazing! And please God, don't but Texas music in a box or a section in Hastings that only has room for songs in G C and D!! If you have any doubts about buying the cd, go check out their killer set! You will not be disappointed!!!

His music sounds like every other artists poor, pity me songs. The fact is that most of ryans music sucks. I'm not talking about singing about floating down the river boozing songs that you feeble minded people think that people who don't like his music are saying. You people just really don't know a whole lot about texas music.

Those of you bashing ryan's record because it aparently isnt raw enough or gritty enough are just being envious that his record is actually good. His songs are a tad more thoughtful then the same bullshit everyone else writes about(i.e. having a cold beer and floating the river) to get their foot into the texas music scene. Granted those are fun things to do but, to be a respectable artist, you write about subjects that you really hold true to you heart. If floating the river and partying all the time is something that outweighs dealing with real situations in your life that require real honest feelings then i think you need to re-evaluate your goals and grow the fuck up.

Yeah, Jemme! Right on! Ryan has so much music in him, and this debut CD is the tip of the iceberg. He knows TX Music is big enough for all the various sounds, voices, and tastes. We all have our personal favorites. Just don't knock mine and say Ryan isn't TX country music...sooo not true. He's 3rd generation TX Music. He plays Merle Haggard and loves him. To the 2-3 critics on this site, spend your $ where you choose, but man don't say our guy isn't TX because his voice is too true or his songs are written too well. He gets praise from other musicians at his acoustic shows all the time...they know TX music when they hear it too. Keep writin' and singin' Ryan!
