Workbench Songs has NOT been out of my cd player since LSM sent it to me. Guy you are a one of the greatest singer/songer writers ever. End of story.
looking for song "Stuff Thats Good"
They're all "Keepers"...God Bless ya, Guy...Next album please.....
I have no idea how to contact Guy. But I was born and raised in West Texas. My Aunt ran the Green Frog in Monahans, Tx. I am 61, and live in Frederickburg, TX. I hang out in Luckenbach a lot. I know we would have a lot in common. As I too hung out in the Green frog as a kid also. Therefore I know the train tracks where I think they were waiting for a train.

The essential Guy Clark is every song he has ever written and every note he has ever sung. When asked why he did not put out more albums, her replied, "I put one out whenever I have ten good songs". That's why I buy one of his albums whenever he puts one out. I haven't been disappointed yet.
Saw a sing song night with Lyle Lovett, Joe Eli, Guy Clark, and some other guy one night and I can't tell you how disappointed I was with Guy. When he wasn't doing his thing, he looked bored and one time he picked his nose. I've never seen such disrespect for fellow artists and blatant unprofessionalism. He could have learned a thing or two from Lyle, who really has great guitar tone, and has totally eclipsed his mentor, Guy. What do you expect from a dude that used to hang with Steve Earle? To leave it on a good note, Guy was great to watch in his early days, especially on a documentary entitled "Heartworn Highways." What happened to this dude?
I listened to an interview Guy had on this Nashville radio station and he was promoting his new album. It's AWESOME.
