I absolutely love this cd. I feel like each song was written for a different moment in my life. Excellent lyrics!

I recently stumbled into The Great Divide, and boy am I glad. It started when I heard "Out of Here Tonight", what a great song. Then I discovered some of their great older songs like "Yesterday Road", "Alive and Well", and "College Days", needless to say I was hooked. Now their new single "Straight of Into You" has been added to my list of Great Divide favorites, which seems to be growing every day.

Some great lines and 2 or 3 wonderful songs; other than that, this album is a bit disappointing. The tunes are well written, just missing the edge that we expect from these guys!

These guys are great. Mike McClure, lead singer and main writer for the band is unmatched in his music talent. All songs have a great musical style and Mike can make you feel right at home with his unmatched writing stlye. Mike has also produced a new Texas writer name Frank NeVille. Frank has a similar flare for writing and the music has a touch of the Great Divide in it. Frank can be found on cowboybrand.net and at a local Honky Tonk in the New Braunfels / San Antonio area.

These guys are a true credit to Texas country music.....great lyric, excellent music, killer live performance, awesome videos........They have gone all the way....Whata a true credit to what hard work and determination will get you.....loyal fans like myself who will drive 4-5 hours just to see a show...keep it coming guys because you are all true talent at its best

Get in line and get ready to be blown away by these guys. The best there ever was and the best there will ever be!

I just got "Afterglow" yesterday, and i have to say it ranks right up there with charlie and bruce robison's music. In fact, i'd consider it the best CD in my collection with the exception of the robisons CDs. If you like Americana, you'll love this CD.

Billy Bob's friday night was turned into a mad house. The best band in Texas is from Oklahoma, but even though I have always been a fan I have not always thought so. They have a new sound and seem to be recharged. Credit has to go to thier new guitar player, who is simply amazing.He has elements of Stevie Ray and Slash, and some how it makes thier sound. Great Divide is one the true great Texas bands. THier style is one of true hardcore country music... Texas style that is !!!! If ya like a good ole band that plays evrything from your two steppin club music , to a little get away vaction time, even a few words on life in general then this is the band for you.
