Dear me. Jiggs should be honored that I give them my attention. (Even if it's negative attention.) They are my favor of the month, so to speak. If you'll search around, I've given some fair reviews. Look under Jim Lauderdale for instance. I'm down with Americana. However, I miss country music, and that's what I defend. There's some things worth listening to that have a lot of soul. There's no style or soul here. . . . The name is lame to start: Busta Jigz? Pathetic. Groups like this are destined to'make it big' like Sugerland. I can't stop gagging. I knew somebody couldn't resist responding within 24 hours. Last comment: BJ dresses like bums. Even Lonestar is dressing like them in their new video. 50 year old men duded up with shell necklaces and worn out jeans. It's simply fascinating!

Hey, James, I have to tell you I have been enjoying Buster Jiggs since they first started playing, and I know they don't even THINK about "how they Dress" because they are focused on "how they sound." And you absolutely have the right to express your opinion about their music, way of dressing, etc. This old world would be a pretty boring place if everyone agreed with each other. Personally, I LIKE this group, like their original songs, and will continue to enjoy any of their live shows I can get to. Hope you have some groups you enjoy as well. Music of any kind is never bad.

James you crack me up. I agree with you wholeheartedly about the charts and about how corrupt the business is. I want you to know that I am not in this band. I just wanted to defend them. I'm sorry that you don't care for the way they dress, but what do you expect? These people are just normal people who don't have stylists. This is how they dress every day. Does it really matter? After all they are musicians. You sound like In Style magazine by making a bigger deal of an artist's style than of their art. You don't have to attack me because we are very similar. No I don't think that BJ is "better than" Jason Boland or 1100 Springs (who I happen to know are friends of BJ). And they have been on the chart as well. I'm pretty sure they have music promotors themselves(not to mention record labels!!). As far as talking trash about CCRW goes... oh my gosh do you not realize how they are opening doors nation wide for smaller Americana acts? I think that if you knew this band you'd know they don't have any more money to spend on major promotions than any other fledgling group. This is a hard business and they make a very small amount of money that is eaten up by gas and expenses. I just wonder why you are so angry with this band. They are just doing their thing working their butts off to try and make it-- not attacking you or trying to push their music on you. A lot of people don't like a lot of bands, but they don't spend their time being angry. So I suggest changing the station and finding a new website since this one bothers you so much. When something bothers me I stay away from it and I head toward things that make me happy. You are gonna give yourself an ulcer!

Wait a minute. . . I have to lower that to 1 star now that I see how ya'll dress. That's really original with the 'pearl snap trend' coupled with the untucked shirt/t-shirt look. You basically look like every other band out there. Maybe you could eventually add on a stomped on girls cowboy hat and a couple of bandanas and wrist bands. You know, the way Cody Canada and Toby Keith dress. Way to go. So, when everyone else starts to wear the Garth Brooks panel rodeo style shirts I guess ya'll are gonna go with that too? Too funny. :)

The Texas Music Chart reflects the majority opinion? I believe that's one of the most ludicrous statements I've ever heard. Katie Key and her chart is probably one of the most corrupt duos in the lone star state. If you have a record promoter, which costs money, you might have a chance to make it on to this insignificant piece of paper. I don't really want to get too in depth with this, but the few radio stations that do report their spins to the TMC are often inflated to meet the quota that is pressured by the promoters themselves. For example, your jam might get reported that it is spun 15 times a week when in reality it's played at 3 in the morning or they just pencil the right amount of spins in to send to Katie. Is it any wonder that the usual suspects reign supreme on the height of the chart? Pat, Shooter, Cross Canadian, Mark Chestnut. . . even Neil McCoy with his horrendously stupid song "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On" have MAJOR money behind them. 2 years ago Miranda Lambert was no where to be found, but money talks, and low and behold you see her and another rich gal, Allie Daniel striking it well on the TMC. The fact that Buster Jiggs was thrown a bone and is on the chart doesn't mean jack crap. Do you actually contend that your jam is better than anything 1100 Springs, Billy Joe Shaver, or Jason Boland does? I hope that I'm not the first person to let you know how this works. Why do you think Nashville is so F'ed up? The charts are rigged so they can keep force feeding the 'populus' whatever they want to. Same 'ol 40 songs over and over. . . Texas is shaping up to be just like Tennessee. Congratulations on 'making the chart.' Finally, this web site is just as corrupt as Katie's chart. If I write you a bad review, it most likely will stay posted because your band does not rate with lonestarmusic.com. However, if I call out Cross Canadian, Mike McClure, Shooter Jennings, or the Eli Young Band out for who they really are (which is a bunch of no talent wanna be rockers), my opinion gets deleted. That's a fact. I'm going to up your stars from 1 to 2 because I feel so damn sorry for ya'll.

James, Thank you for noticing the situation with "Member". I actually wrote that message on the actual busterjiggs.com board over a year ago. It was kind of funny because whomever "Member" is copied my writing (added the mistakes) and pasted it on this site. I was as confused when it happend as I am still. I'm glad you have an opinion about this band because that means "all types of people" are listening. Thankfully the Texas Music Chart reflects the majority's opinion! Peace my friend. By the way, here's my review because that is what this is for... Buster Jiggs puts on a great show and their cd sounds great!

First of all, is the review (currently on page 7) written by "Member". . . Is that a joke? The only reason I ask is because it's full of blatant misspellings and errors. . . The irony is that the 'review' is about how people who "hate" this band are totally inept in the arena of grammar and so forth. Buster Jiggs gave us their CD and we quickly gave them a distribution deal out the window after taking a listen. I don't hate this band, but I can't be intellectually honest without admitting how poor the album is. Seriously, we couldn't make it through most of the songs without having to change the track #. I'm quite surprised that this band has so many reviews... the 'members' must write themselves good reviews on a regular basis. Ya'll suck and Toby Keith is way better. . .and that's just frightening.

First heard this band on TMTR. Then saw them at the Robert Earl Keen Texas Uprising show in Corpus. Then they came to Victoria and played an acoustic show. THESE GUYS (and gal) ARE GOOD! Bought the CD and have been wearing it out. Can't get "Mexico" or "This Town" out of my head. Go see them!
