I have to say that I have been around this band for some time and enjoy the live shows. I dont think you could gather a better group of musicians. You can always walk up and speak to each one and they will be friendly and glad you have come to one of there shows. If you have never seen the acoustic show with Shane and Brent you are missing out. I go out and see alot of the bands in and around Lubbock and have spoke to Shane about these bands. What amazes me is that he never has a bad word to say about any of them. If he was white trash don't you think he would be bashing these almost musicians that wrote those statments trying to further themselves. Nice show of class Shane. The fat girl song, and the crazy bi@#$ song are always requested over and over again so not everyone hates it so much. I am very much looking forward to the second full album. If you have not heard Headed Home writen by Mr. McCord take the time to listen and then realize they do not just sing about drugs, drinking, and women.

So I was just reading the reviews for this past weekend. I have to say before any stereotyping goes on, I have not writen a review of Shane before this one. Being in a band myself, I feel that it is not appropriate to review something that you really don't know about. To start off with, I have never heard Shane's CD. So if it is good, or bad, I have no oppinion on the matter. Can Shane sing, yes he can. Is the band good, well one of the best bands I have seen in a long time. Do I care for the live show, not really, but that is my oppinion. The last two times I have seen Shane, you could not hear what he was singing because the music was so loud. That was at the Icehouse. Do people dance, yes they do. So what is it I don't like about the live show? Well I don't care for the fat girl song or the ammount of cussing. But that is me. Shane is a much better song writer than the fat girl song shows, so why play songs that in a year you will hate. That is my opinion. And if you want to criticize it well it is honest. Do I like Shane, yes, and I wish him the best of luck in his carear, just like I would wish the best of luck in anyones carear. Stephen St.Clair

"Texas Kind of Mood" Shane's first full length CD was definelty a LEARNING Process and yet it still turned out to a album to be proud of. It will take more than a few half musician's with no cd and an empty calender to keep Shane down as a matter of fact I hear from inside sources that Shane's sophmore album/DVD will be out by May and that this album is for the band and and is filled with lots of influences we didn't see on Texas Kind of Mood

Great CD! What's with Stephen and Blake? Although I can't say I am a friend of any of the guys in the band, I have talked to Shane on a few occasions and he's been nothing but gracious to everybody. I think he's got a great live show and if you read the CD cover (if you actually bought one) it states that these are party songs. If you've heard some of his new songs like "Sober", "Holdin' Out For Heather" or "What I'm Always Going to Be", you'd know that they are a lot more introspective. I can't wait for their next CD! "Texas Kind of Mood" is a great party CD to be sure but don't sell Shane short. There's a lot more there.

First of all I would like to state that I will not resort to ugly name calling, only to truth. The two YOUNG men who gave poor reviews of this CD are obviously under the impression they look good in green. Jealousy is not a pretty shade of green gentlemen! It would also behoove you in the future to keep your off color remarks to yourself if you are only going to contradict yourself in the last line. (i.e. they suck he is the worst singer songwriter ever…. (last line) Who happens to have a good voice.) Now really how smart does that make you look. Make up your mind is he good or bad? You sound confused. And now for the intended purpose of the website.. to review the CD not just throw around weighted jealously. I am not your average run of the mill college student. I have a family, a college education, and can give definitions of the BIG WORDS that are in the aforementioned paragraph. This CD has really good music, yes, it is different, but that is just what Texas Country needs. Shane makes no qualms about the content of his shows, and no one in the audience is surprised. As for the comment of mentioning other bands in his show, that sirs is called mutual respect. Something you have unfortunately not been instilled with. To sum up Shane’s CD, I would say no it’s not something I play over dinner, but on a Friday around 5 needing to gear up for the weekend its just what I need to get me in a Texas Kinda Mood. All the two of you have done is weed yourself out of contention for any respect, and proved to the world that you are jealous and petty.

Shane and the guys seemed to have really worked hard on this album. We all love it. Shane put a great mix of dance songs and party songs on this album and we cant wait to hear what he comes up with next
