OK, I guess. Very derivative though. I have a feeling that if the older style country this guy attempts to emulate were still around, this wouldn’t get much play. Also, it makes you wonder why a guy feels compelled to write a song exclaiming that “if you don’t like me then I probably won’t like you.” A little defensive aren’t we Jerrod?

Seriously, Josh. You missed the point of the song completely. It's not just about Dallas. It's a commentary of the erosion of Texas culture in the face of mass urbanization. You could insert any city into the song and the message is still the same. You obviously live in Dallas and Dallas is a big city. I haven't seen you panning Merle over his song 'Big City'. List to Jarrod's song again and look for the message. It's there if you'll just listen.

Hey JB, you wonder why you havent hit the big time yet? Whenever you dis an entire city in Texas like Dallas, nobody will buy your music. Loved you until I heard that song.

George Jones asked, "Who's gonna fill their shoes?" Well this man can and hopefully will!! If you like the old guys, you will love his music...

Jarrod- Have any of you been able to sit down and talk to this man? WOW! He is truely amazing. His music is from within him and he puts on a pretty damn good show too. I hope everyone is willing to give this man and his band a minute of their time. You won't be disappointed. Catch a show sometime, sit have a drink, buy Jarrod some whiskey (and the band jager), and wait til the shows over...you'll get to meet a legend! Hope to see some of y'all at the shows.

Saw him at River Road Ice House July 4, 2006. He opened for Jack Ingram, and personally, I thought he was much better. Great performer, with a Waylon Jennings type of sound. Would recommend No Apologies to anyone.

I've seen plenty of artists come on to the scene and lose their identity, going off and trying to mold their sound by what everyone else is doing or by what Nashville is selling. Jarrod's a good 'ole boy who cares about his fans and plays the kind of country we can be proud of. He's a great showman and a great guy to have a beer with afterwards... or during. Rock on, JB.

Jarrod is the real deal, I have met him twice in Council Bluffs,IA he has what it takes to take back OUR country music. Let the boy bands and bubble gum country artists go to pop music where they belong. We need more J B's out there singing REAL country music, If you don't like his music turn on the yuppy pop country crap station and get the hell out of our country music scene.
