RICH O'TOOLE ROCKS!! I saw them play at Woody's Tavern in Fort Worth Friday night, they are awesome!!! Everyone go check them out, at 8.0 on Wednesday!
First off, people on this site need to get their crap straight....Rich never opened for Creager in Lubbock, that show was changed and he opened for Cory Morrow in Huntsville, Second, Rich and his band are a VERY talented group of musicians, who are going to make it very far in this business. You know it's sad that there are people out there like you, who have to get on LSM and bash other artist to make yourself feel better. YOU are the "TOOL", for not going to see him, and my questions to you is how do you know what a "real" musician is..you obviously havent been to a Rich O'Toole show!
he's a great indie artist and puts on a fantastic show! there is nothing big money about this guy at all he wrote every song on his album, see him live you will not be disappointed!
His moderate success on the music charts has nothing to do with Rich doing "right" and everything to do with great promotion. His lack of talent will catch up with him sooner or later. Sorry Rich, I would rather not hear an opening band than hear you up there...
To me it looks like alot of people really don't know what they are talking about. If you have ever been to a Rich O'Toole Show you will see the passion and enthusiasm that he and his band put into their show. They have produced and released a highly successful album (Seventeen) and toured all over Texas promoting it to great reviews. You do not stay at the top of the charts for over 7 weeks if you are not doing something right. Buy the album and go see a Rich "Double" O'Toole Show and make your own decision!
One of the funniest reviews I have seen yet. But alas, sometimes the truth is funny and sometimes it hurts. Sometimes it is both! It all depends on perspective. Sorry Rich and friends.... the "Firehouse Saloon" review is right on the money. Become a good songwriter and musician and you will figure out that you don't need schtick to get a crowd to listen or laugh.
Im not sure who Neveragain was watching play but i know it wasnt The Rich O'Toole band. His ears must like crap like the Dixie Chicks. Ya'll get out there and watch them they put on a hell of a show
AWESOME you got to get out there to see him. They put on one hell of a show.
I made the mistake of going to one of his concerts. I cannot tell you if it was a comedy to watch him play or if my ears were going to fall off in shear pain. It was the worst "Texas Country" band I have ever seen. This guy puts a bad name to country music. I don't know if he is trying to be a wannabe rockstar, but I want my money back.
