Great road trip music! They've got their own unique Texas sound. Can't wait for their next album
If you dont own Like It Used To Be, you should. Something you can listen to non-stop. Randy has lots of talent as singer and songwriter.
This new one is FANTASTIC! If you love Pat Green or any of the local Texas artists, then you are gonna love these guys! It is a MUST BUY!!! Thanks guys for the great tunes!!!
This CD rocks. If you havent got it, you need to get it!!! Randy and the rest of the band sound great!! They sound even better live!! So hurry up and get it~!! Randy has a great talent for writing and singing.
You did not give me a copy of your album yet, but I dig the new songs I heard at the Parrot last night! you sexy son-of-a-bitch!
This is Texas country the way it is supposed to be!! Tight band, lyrics full of heart, and a non-cookie cutter music style. There is only top quality music throughout the cd. This was the best investment of $15 I could have made. I am glad I didn't waste my money on the "new" ones from the old names. Finally a newcomer who has done it right. Stand back and watch this cd take off!! Better yet go see them live...
I first heard of Randy when he performed the acoustic version of "Lost and Found" at Jack's Roadhouse. From then on I was hooked! He is one damn good songwriter. There isn't one song on either of the two cds that you'd want to skip over. I'm just glad us broke college kids can enjoy them for a reasonable price now-a-days. Believe me, it won't be that way for very long!!
Good Luck Guys!
Just finished about 4 spins of the new Randy Rogers Like It Used To Be cd and every song really lets Randys great talent and his bands great ability to play that great sound shine. I believe the band is just starting to roll so look out for them. With that sound and the great songs its just a matter of time for success. A really great cd and best of all catch a live show if you can because it gets even better.
"Like it Used to Be" is one that won't come out of your CD player for a long time! This is one album that will give you chills. I was priveleged enough to hear "One Thing I Know" played accoustic for the first time a little over a year ago and I still believe that It's probably the best song I've ever heard. Do yourself a favor and pick this record up. Then go see Randy live and you'll be hooked. The best songs are ones that you can relate you your own life and this CD is full of them!! Genuine!
