This cd follows the rest of this mans amazing work! Love everything he does & him! :)

Saw Sonny recently at a local benefit. This guy is every bit as good, or better, than anyone coming out of Nashville. Even though his sound is not as rough as most Texas Music performers, his songs are Texas pure. If you ever get a chance to see Sonny in person, do it. He is very very approachable and sincere. I put him up there with such people as Clint Black and George Strait in likability.

Sonny has got to be one of the best... He is so talented and a true class act. I have met him several times and I don't think I have ever met an act as nice as he is...

I was in Nasville 2001 for fan fair week and hade the privellege of seeing Sonny Burgess perform 2x. He was amazing. I would really like to see him in concert some time. Does anyone knoew his concert tour?

This CD is one of the most consistent pieces of work I have heard in years. While the best of performers produce CD's where at least one or two cuts beg for the "skip" button, EVERY cut on Sonny's recording is a keeper. The biggest challenge is picking out a favorite. The title cut continues to get occasional air play, but I don't understand why the radio stations don't jump on the catchy "Smack Dab" or "Turn for the Worse". My personal favorite has to be the novel twist on what seems to start out a breaking up song " Alone with You. Everyone familiar with this great album needs to start calling the radio request lines and begging for cuts from it. This CD deserves to go gold.

I first heard Sonny in Austin at the Secretary's Convention. My fellow colleagues and I knew this guy was going somewhere. Of all the conventions I went to he was the one that had everybody up and dancing in the aisles....I love his song "It Must Have Been Something I Said" and am definitely buying his CD - I hope he gets his own website so we can keep up with his career and show dates. It's been a hard road but I bet it gets easier from here on out!!!!!

Another great cd by a Texas musician. My brother told me about Sonny Burgess and after I read the reviews (good advice from the 1st reviewer)I decided to check out the cd. I only wish it were longer. I enjoy every song although I have a love/hate relationship with "Smack Dab." On the one hand it seems like a ridiculous title and chorus, but on the other hand it's so catchy that I've been walking around with this tune in my head the past two days. Great cd, but I agree with the reviewer who said it should've been recorded in Austin; get Texas music out of Nashville before it gets corrupted.

This is great work...and truly reflects the person Sonny Burgess. I have known Sonny since he was young boy and he is a true professional and has a voice that is unforgettable. This album is well derserved and will be a huge hit. He is truly what Texans are made of....

First I want to know how this CD is classified as a Texas CD despite the fact it was recorded in Nashville. Sonny has an awsome voice, the songs are great, and it is better than most of the Nashville "pop" that is being put out. My major beef with the CD is it should have been recorded in Austin.

There was a great review written about Sonny in one of the Texas Music Publications --my copy is not handy. Sonny had 2 prime slots on the fan fair stages this year too and appeared to have collected more fans from both shows! He played Friday on the Riverfront Stage and Saturday at the Best of Texas show which I hope they continue to next years fan fair--it was great. I ditto the other review on this page--I have owned Sonny's first cd since 4/00 and have near worn it out--there is not a bad cut on the cd! I've followed him around the DFW metrolplex for 9 years and he only continues to get better and better!
