This Cd is great! I especially like track numbers 2,9,11 and 12...A very promising young band. I wish these guys could get a little more exposure so that we could see more shows, more frequently. Looking forward to hearing what's next though...
I got my hands on this cd by chance and did not find it fun or intriguing by far. Musicians did there best to clean up these awful melodies, but with vocals like that you have to be a damn good songwriter to make up for it. He does not. Poor lyrics, poor melodies, poor vocals, poor guy. I gave one star for effort and one for the band.

Anybody that hate's on Magee is a fucking loser. You don't have to be jealous just because your not talented enough to do what magee does. The guy is only 21 years old, and will only get better in time. So all you hating pussy's need to grow up and give props where there do!!!!!!!!
Magee Payne is a very talented guy and a great performer. His first cd "habits of the heart" is a great cd that everybody should go buy. I am from Corpus Christi and there are people talking about the "Magee Payne Band" everytime i turn around. Keep up the good work "Maggy", and stop by and eat some Of Hazel's food next time your down. Magee Payne rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A good friend turned me on to the album and I have to say I'm damn glad. The trio was a nice touch. Any idiot who doesn't enjoy a well done cover has some serious issues. Hope to see you playin' some on the south coast in the near future. Keep up the good work!!!
Great disc. I like the CD more each time I listen to it. Ever thought of recreating the 16 days trio in a live show?
Magee- thanks for such an awesome album. The whole cd is good-especially "16 Days" with Cody and Willy- the harmony is great. Hope to come and see you soon because as impossible as it sounds, you are even better live!
It's really good to see some old musicians giving back to the industry and promising new ones entering into it. Magee, Les, Brady...the disc sounds great!
Magee Payne did an excellent job on the CD...even by covering a Whiskeytown song. And Magee, I wouldn't worry about being bashed by people who can't even spell correctly. I also think that covering other bands songs shows respect and does not hurt a singer/songwriters reputation or status in the music industry. I even think bands that do not cover at least one song have a tougher chance of being heard. Keep up the good work Magee. Rock on!!
