Six Trips Around The World
Not as good as his previous record, but possibly a few songs that are more "radio" friendly. Overall seems to be a bit of a different sound than his first, possibly an evolution by Django. Not radically different, more subtle. But still a good record that I highly recomend to anyone who loves Texas music.

Haven't got his new CD yet,but Django's seen around Austin Towne studying older musicians playing shows @ venues like The Saxon Pub,Folks like Larry Joe Taylor & Keith Sykes. His band puts on great shows,& I've seen him open up for Jerry Jeff afew tymes where he almost outshone his Daddy.A serious singwriter & performer.I don't usually get "IT" from the Youngsters these daze but,Django Walker has the goods to build on the Legendary "Walker" family name.Keep on Pickin' son!...Tony @ Snowden

We spent an awesome evening at Hanks in McKinney last night watching Django and the band put on one of the best shows we've seen them perform yet! Tons of energy, fun and good 'ol live entertainment came from those boys last night. They put their heart into every song they played. Oh, and their new CD "Six Trips..."...it's unbelievable! Don't worry Django...you nailed it. It matches and surpasses "Down the Road" (...and I never thought I'd say that!) Before we were out of the parking lot we were listening to the new cd and loved every minute of it. There is a pure, sincere respect that comes from Django's music. It is because of that that we will continue to follow our favorite guy wherever the road may take him and the boys. Please take a minute to listen to his music...once you do, you're hooked!

For Nash, a couple reviews back... Django & Greg are fraternity brothers of HCA founder Seth Harrison. Seth co-wrote "College Daze" with Greg Carder on the front porch of the same fraternity where a half written "College Life" first got played over Greg & Django's Christmas break from Liverpool. It's not a remake obviously, but it's supposed to be something of an updated/inside joke/inspiration sort of tribute. Seth & Carder both heard it before there was a Django Walker Band, and both loved it. As for a review... I have my minor complaints (let Greg show the talent), but they'll be great when they finally define themselves. You can't run from who you are, especially in a roots style music. But, think about all the folks tried to build out from under a famous dad & tell me it's easy.

Django is a badass. All he ever does is try to make a name for himself by trying to not be in his dads shadow. He is a great songwriter and his live shows are great. I loved your first CD and i cant wait for your new one to come out. Play more shows in austin.

It's funny to see how so many people take this music thing so seriously...like it was brain surgery?! Oh well, They could be right, he could be riding daddy's coat tails...I would be too...makes it so much easier, doing so. Having said that, and though I am not a fan, I think he is a nice guy who most people would enjoy hanging with...As for the music, who cares... I do think college life was a rip-off of HCA's /(HB'S) College Daze. I mean, damn...man! We all borrow a bit, but -- you shure borrowed a lot!

I saw Django Walker play at Ugly's here in College Station and was expecting a little more. I mean here was a band that is supposedly Texas rock/country in flip flops and torn jeans doing more covers than the Chicken Shack in LaGrange. The thing was the covers where better than the originals. He also would start a song that he said he wrote then medley it with rock covers. I had to leave early. I will say that I loved hearing them cover Willis Alan Ramsey's Northeast Texas Women, although you didn't hear a word from them claiming who wrote the song. I'm sure he learned that one from daddy since I know Jerry Jeff does it. I can see how some of y'all say it sounded like a karaoke show. Good luck Django.
