Reckless Kelly
Artist Review
I would have to say that Under the Table and Above the Sun is my favorite Reckless album of all time, and i'll take it one step further... so James, before you lecture me on the "vogue" classic bands like AC/DC, The Beatles, etc. and the nuances of their infinite supremacy, let me say that Under the Table is my favorite album of ALL TIME. That being said, Wicked Twisted Road ranks pretty high on my list. This "Hick Rock" sound that you are referring to you probably ripped from some Nashville Review because if you've ever heard the guys in concert, Wicked Twisted Road comes as close to capturing their live sound as any record short of Live at Stubbs. I grew up in Austin and have followed the progression of their "sound", which is totally an arbitrary concept, for a few years. Sure James, they've changed, but if you think that by improving on their musicianship, their vocals, and the overall quality of their music they've pulled a johhny come lately move, you need to go and hang out with Bret Michaels on Nashville Star. p.s. Are you deaf?

Artist Review
James, the hick rock sound is still there just open up your ears a little buddy. This cd is badass, and they aint like the other "johnny comes" out there, and if so then who else do they sound like? The lyrics are awsome and the music is badass. Not every song has to be HEY SAY MAY,CRAZY EDDIE or LETS JUST FALL for it to be hick rock. These guys are still hick rock and the WTR is badass.keep rockin guys.

What happened to the hick rock sound? I used to think these guys were great, now I can see that they are as bad as all the other johnny come latelys. All of these so called Texas music bands can't hold a candle to the greats that came before them. Don't waste your money on this CD.

This cd is badass, and to all of you out there who like trashin it because it lacks the "hick rock" of past reckless cds need to take time and actually listen to the lyrics and find that they still have the reckless theme to em and are damn good songs. This cd is more hick rock than any of those other pussy artists out there.Sure I miss songs like "Hey Say May""Lets Just Fall" and "Crazy Eddies"but that doesnt make it any less of a cd. Good job guys.Keep on truckin!

Wicked Twisted Road
Worst CD ever. Talk about wanting to put a gun to my head. What the heck happended to "Reckless" Kelly, not "Semi-Reckless" Kelly. I wasted my money and I've always been a huge fan. They've put out a lot of really good music and the past and this CD, is terrible.
The Real Texas Deal  03/06/2005
Wicked Twisted Road
I was disapointed in this album. It's still better than the other slow lazy stuff out their but that "Braun voice" (Like the Mickey and the Motorcars have also) ain't gonna carry you guys forever. Next time have Ray Kennedy produce with some ballz and tell sugarhill records to go stick it.
