Here we go... Just to reitterate, as his major record lable debut the label has a say in what goes on the record. Lets be thankful that all the songs are written by Bingham. I invite you to show me something with more truth and substance. For those of you that will be so ignorant as to start turning this into a "Ryan has sold out" debate.... Make no mistake that ain't happening. as a true Bingham fan, yeah we all would love to hear more new stuff. Especially because he has given all of us such high expectaions with the old stuff. Just be patient (he is ony 25), the new stuff will come and if the old is any indication of the future we all have absolutely nothin to worry about.
This is his first MAJOR LABEL debut cd, while a lot of these songs have been on previous cd's they are all re-recorded with Marc Ford, plus most of the people that will hear it will have heard Bingham for the first time.
I agree wholeheartedly with ryanrocks. Love Bingham's songwriting, musicianship, stage presence, you name it. The Dead Horses are tight. When I saw the play list of songs I thought, awesome, a live CD with most of Ryan's best stuff. Really disappointed to find out it's just new versions of previously released songs, kind of like Reckless Kelly's latest. Oh well, even rehashed Ryan Bingham is better than just about everything else out there.
dont get me wrong i love ryan's music and have seen him live many, many times. this guy has written so many great songs that he cant remember 60% of um. that is why i cant understand why he keeps putting out albums with the same songs on them over and over. "Southside of heaven" is a great song but its not 4 albums in a row great. and yes it has been on 4 albums in a row for those you who arent in the know. Ryan think real hard...try and remeber those long nights at the Waterhole and put some of those songs on an album!
Friggin' awesome....A must have!
Bingham produces the realest music since Cash and other legends. Wishbone Saloon and Dead Horses will not even do Mescalito justice. Every song on here is true and proves that Bingham has lived everything he writes about.
I've never liked anything that resembles country in my whole life! Count me in as new convert!
Ryan and the gang, keep up the great job!

WE ARE WALKING INTO GRUENE HALL AND INSTANTLY THIS UPBEAT, FOOT STOMPING, TABLE SLAPPING RENDITION OF SOUTHSIDE OF HEAVEN IS BEING PLAYED. I'M SUDDENLY BEING SLAPPED IN THE FACE WITH ONE OF THE TYPES OF MUSIC THAT I LOVE THE MOST, AND BEING SUNG BY A GUY WITH A RASPY VOICE WITH THE PERFECT ACCENT. WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE REST OF THE SHOW AND WERE BLESSED WITH AN ENCORE OF SOUTHSIDE OF HEAVEN. WE BOUGHT THE CD AND MY WIFE WENT TO THE STAGE TO HAVE IT AUTOGRAPHED BY RYAN. THIS GUY BELONGS ON THE RADIO...PERIOD.
I can't wait for this album!! It's gonna be great
