Ryan has amazing talent and has worked hard for everything. He's going to make it a long ways! He knows music!
Ryan played at a bird hunt in Kennedy Texas and I thought he was awesome. He told us why he wrote each of his songs, they are all rom something in his life and thats truly from the heart.
We just saw and heard Ryan for the first time tonight at Midnight Rodeo in Austin. We were amazed at his talent and shocked we had never heard him before. He's a great musician with a great voice and we can't wait to see him again!
I saw Ryan for the first time in Colorado back in January, and I've been a fan ever since. If you see him live you will understand why!
I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan, his Uncle and Bass player at a friends in Huntsville Texas this last weekend. What an exceptional guitar player and young man.. I was lucky enough to get to play along with my accordian and have been playing to his Wishbone Saloon CD ever since. Can't wait to find out when he'll be playin close by again so that we can all go to see him!!
I have known Ryan for years and we all knew he would be somthing great! From playing for us in hotel rooms after the college rodeos to playing weeknights at the Waterhole. He is moving up now and keeps getting better but never loses himself in it and always remembers where he came from. Wishbone Saloon is one of my all time favorite albums (except for the first 6 song album ryan did)! Buy it and go see ryan every chance you get you wont regret it!!
I saw Ryan with Jason Boland & Peter Dawson doing an accoustic show in Kerrville last week. He is so funny! And he is an awesome musician. I hope to hear more from him soon. He is a very talented guy!!
I met Ryan in central Texas earlier this year. Some rodeo guys told me what an awesome musician he is. As you know guys tell lots of lies in bars, but their claim he is an amazing musician is all truth! This is by far the best CD I have ever owned.
I first met Ryan at the Water Hole, a small bar in Stephenville, Texas. A buddy of mine, Daniel Lopez was playing with him at the time and invited me to come down to listen to him play. I didnt know what to expect because at the time Daniel told me he was playing cover songs and a limited select of his own. When I first heard him play "Cancion Del Mariachi", I was like WOW, this kid has talent. Wishbone Saloon, the cover song brings life to the old west. Ryan once told me that after he makes it big, that he was going to open up Wishbone Saloon in Marfa, Texas. Boys Town is what it sounds like, a cat house in Acuna, Mexico. If your not much into adventure, then the song is all you need. I hope Ryan keeps up the good work he has done so far, from playing for tips at the Water Hole, to making it down in New Braunsfels. Its a long road but he is making his way up it.
"Wishbone Saloon” is an unmentioned CD on everyone’s top list in 2003. This is not just another wannabe Pat Green, Lloyd Maines or Texas Jimmy Buffett sound-a-like album. It is a refreshing throwback to what a CD can capture when the people playing are throwing their hearts on the line to capture a moment in time. Besides, Jack Johnson doesn’t quite fit the genre.
