Power, sincerity and conviction are hallmarks of Brandon Jenkins the songwriter and Brandon Jenkins the singer.  He has made a name for himself as a songwriter able to tackle all slices of life with equal vigor.  As a vocalist, Jenkins possesses a country twang that crushes the metaphorical crutch of not judging a book by its cover that many folks would use to describe his appearance. It is unwise to simply dismiss Brandon Jenkins as a tattooed guitar wielding giant, although that is certainly part of his personality.  To truly understand Brandon Jenkins you must realize that he is a thoughtful and soul baring artist sharing his craft with audiences nightly and on each of his records.

Brandon Jenkins has been breaking musical ground and stereotypes since the mid 1990’s and continues to get better with each passing year.  In addition to his success as a solo artist, he is well known for his writing and co-writing of hit songs for other artists, most notably:  Stoney LaRue, Bleu Edmondson and Cross Canadian Ragweed.  Jenkins’ talents in all areas of music have allowed him to reach legendary status among Red Dirt aficionados, all while still being in the prime of his career.

His live shows, whether acoustic or featuring his rocking electric trio, are a spellbinding display of music mixing force and subtlety.  The diverse nature of his song catalog and the versatile dynamics of his musicianship allow him to conquer any audience he is in front of.

With a new album set for release in April 2011, Jenkins is poised to further cement his place as one of the foundations of the entire Red Dirt music scene and the larger Americana scene.  Paired with a determined and ambitious tour schedule in support of the new album, audiences will continue to witness Brandon Jenkins break models and shed labels in his quest for musical dominance.

Bad ass talent! Keep it up Brandon. We love you down in Texas as well. Oklahoma has great talent coming out of it as well. God bless the south. Peace-

Wow, this is some real exciting shit!!! I think it great that we can express our different views. What's the old saying "I owe all my success to my enemies" meaning the competition makes us all better! Oklahoma and Texas both ROCK and so does Brandon, and he probably would kick that guys ass, then he'd go roll one on Gideon's Bible and come back and apologize cause he's a great guy!

That’s quite an attitude Dusty. I can see that you don’t like this other person, but you’ve said things that are laughable. Understand, I too enjoy when the egotistical horns get beat by anyone (your precious Sooners fall into that category as well). Secondly, I like most of the music coming out of Oklahoma, but don’t forget that they are coming down to our great state. Go figure! Certainly can’t blame anyone for leaving Oklahoma, who in his or her right mind wouldn’t? By the way, the students and fans at OSU have more class and respect than OU students and alumni could ever imagine. I’m going to say to you rather hypocritically at this point, you should watch what you say. Sounds like you want to support your boy. Do it with tact.

Hey this negative stars dude must me tired of Okies taking over the Texas Music scene. Probably tired of the Sooners whippin' his Horns ass every year in football. Brandon is awesome. His cds are very well produced, and the music is incredible.

Whoever is writing negative reviews of Brandon Jenkins as a singer or songwriter doesn't know shit about music. Brandon is the most underrated singer/songwriter out there. No one crafts a song like Brandon or has the balls to write about the subjects Brandon does. Listen to Government Housing Lot, listen to Finger on the Trigger, etc...If any so called "Texas Country" act deserves a national record label deal its this guy. Oh, but I forgot. Brandon is from Oklahoma, just like Boland, Ragweed, McClure, Stoney and all the other "Boys from Oklahoma" that have moved to Texas and taken over your beloved music scene. If your not a fan of Brandon's music you gotta be a fan of Big & Rich, Tim McGraw and Nelly or some other hat wearing wanna be country/pop band. I guess you (negative stars) don't understand intellegent lyrics. You probably have "Beer, Bait and Ammo" running through your cd system right now - something your more ingnorant ass can understand. And yea, I second the motion you go to a Brandon show and say it to his face. Let me know when you do it, I'll call 911 for you after he's done making you his bitch. Bitch. To anyone else reading this - buy everyone of his cds. Start with Ghost of Jessie James and you'll get the picture. It'll be the best purchase you've made.

I first say Brandon Jenkins at the Firehouse in Houston with Cory Morrow. Ever since then he has been in my CD player. I have traveled many time to see him and he has always put on a 1st rate show. He is a must see if you get the chance.
