. . . an evocative blend of soul, blues, rock and pop
It seems to have been written in the proverbial stars that Johnny Cooper would dedicate his life to performing and entertaining crowds. Since birth, Cooper has been immersed in music of all kinds, and encouraged to pursue his dream. He started performing music in February 2004 at the age of 15 and turning 24 in September 2012, he will have chalked up almost 9 years of professional touring.
Johnny Cooper has accomplished more than many musicians twice his age. Having recorded two critically-acclaimed, full-length studio albums (and another in the works) and not one, but two live albums under his belt – the total album sales of which have eclipsed 50,000 – Johnny Cooper’s career trajectory cannot be stopped. He recently had two songs included on the soundtrack for the independent movie, “Deep in the Heart,” which also includes tracks from Charlie Daniels, Larry Gatlin, Wade Bowen, and others.
Gifted with a rich emotive voice that illuminates his lyrics, Cooper says that each album “is another chapter of my life, every song is a short snippet of all the things I have encountered over the years, good times... bad times... and everything in between. I believe the music has evolved because I have evolved... the older you get, the less and less you are scared to try new things, branch out and test your limits.”
“My goal is to make you forget about everything else and just cut loose for a couple of hours.” … Johnny Cooper

I can honestly vouch that Johnny writes his own stuff. And his dad has written 2 songs, Red Dirt and the newest one Blue. Some people are just old souls. Its the way it is sometimes! Thank God Johnny has the gift and humility to channel music and emotion! What would be the point in lying? One would only be lying to themselves! Keep on channelling the tunes Johnny!

the kid is to young to sing about what he writes. Or does he really write his own stuff?

Stillwater fan
Johnny Cooper tore it up at Roosters in Stillwater, Oklahoma two times now. The last time he performed he did 3 one-hour sets and this kid just mesmerized the crowd. Oklahoma loves this kid!

I just heard Johnny's song Searching on Texas Country online. I'm actually from WA state and a friend from TX recommended the site. I though Johnny was great and would be interested in getting his CD and hearing more.

Hey everyone, this is Photog. Those that know me, how are ya? Those that don't, how are ya? I see we have many friends here and that's great to see. I for one really love Johnny's music. I take his cd with me to my photo shoots, and get more fans everyday. Some folks that never heard of him are just simply impressed. They love his deep soul connection with his music. Yes, he does love each and every single fan of his. I asked one of my friends from my fan club to join me at a recent concert, and Johnny really made her feel at home. Thank you Johnny. But those that know Johnny, they all know that's how he is. He is down to earth, and very greatful at knowing his fans truely love his music. Johnny's band has been in the music business for many years, and they are the sound that is just perfect for Johnny. Thank you to all the band memebers. Thanks for being my friend as well. I could not have a better job in the world, except being part of Johnny Cooper's entourage. We are all family there with a special connection. Im not sure if these folks that write bad reviews on musicians actually go to the concerts or not. Just sounds like they make an opinion on something they dont know about. Come out to one if Johnny's concerts, and see what makes his music connect with his fans of all ages. We love all our fans and hate has no room here. Thank you to all of Johnny Cooper's fans for keeping this all real and loving for everyone. Photog

I'm trying to understand Chris from Abilene and his continued assault on Johnny and Aaron Watson. But it really doesn't matter in the whole scheme of things. I wish any and all artists with dreams to go for them. There will always be naysayers, but that should never stop anyone from pursuing their dreams. To Chris from Abilene, I thank you for your opinions. I wish you happiness and I also realize that Johnny or Aaron Watson may not be for everyone. I am alright with that. With good spirit, I wish you the best in everything you do, and I ask everyone to let Chris and his comments go and let's all look forward to the future. It's taking up too much of our time and it's not worth it! Cindy Saillant
