. . . an evocative blend of soul, blues, rock and pop
It seems to have been written in the proverbial stars that Johnny Cooper would dedicate his life to performing and entertaining crowds. Since birth, Cooper has been immersed in music of all kinds, and encouraged to pursue his dream. He started performing music in February 2004 at the age of 15 and turning 24 in September 2012, he will have chalked up almost 9 years of professional touring.
Johnny Cooper has accomplished more than many musicians twice his age. Having recorded two critically-acclaimed, full-length studio albums (and another in the works) and not one, but two live albums under his belt – the total album sales of which have eclipsed 50,000 – Johnny Cooper’s career trajectory cannot be stopped. He recently had two songs included on the soundtrack for the independent movie, “Deep in the Heart,” which also includes tracks from Charlie Daniels, Larry Gatlin, Wade Bowen, and others.
Gifted with a rich emotive voice that illuminates his lyrics, Cooper says that each album “is another chapter of my life, every song is a short snippet of all the things I have encountered over the years, good times... bad times... and everything in between. I believe the music has evolved because I have evolved... the older you get, the less and less you are scared to try new things, branch out and test your limits.”
“My goal is to make you forget about everything else and just cut loose for a couple of hours.” … Johnny Cooper

First off Kelley...... You Know Aaron well huh? I guess you should ask some of the people that realy know Aaron what they think about him here in good ole Abilene. I am glad Johnny has his teenage fanclub to support him. Mabye if you keep defending him he will take you to the prom. As far as this back and forth crap goes I am not a kid and I dont care to play this 6th grade game. Go do your school work It should be close to your bedtime.

What an amazing artists! His Cd, even though recorded live, doesn't come close to capturing his energy and pure talent when he is on stage. I had the wonderful opportunity to see a number of Johnny Cooper's shows when I was visiting Texas (home) and every show was better than the one before. You could see a deep connection between him and his music that was refreshing and I hope he keeps that for many years to come. The odd thing is, I don't even like "country" music, I don't even know if Johnny would be classified as country, or rock, or folk, or maybe even alternative folk... I know I like what I hear though and I cannot wait to hear even more. Shasta Mildenhall, England

first of all Chris...I know 'what up' and she is FAR from being one of his 6th grade girlfriends! Second anyone who knows Johnny, knows that off stage he's shy and he is VERY down to earth! Johnny LOVES every single one of his fans! He appreciates all of their support! I don't know how you also assume Aaron Watson is also "big headed" because he is far from it as well! I've met him several times and each time I see him he remembers me. A "big headed" muscian wouldn't remember anyone but themselves. Both Johnny and Aaron play very good shows and appreciate everything their fans do, so I don't see where being "big headed" comes into the picture.

I have seen Johnny multiple times live and have heard his cd over and over again. Johnny is a natural, hands down! He can out play, out sing and out write most "musicans" that are out there today! To boot, he is down to earth and is always kind to his fans and other musicans. If you don't have this cd, GET IT! Keep up the great work Johnny!

I have seen Johnny more than once and am very impressed with his songs and his attitude. He is very down to earth and in no way acts like he's getting a "big head" about all of his success. I think encouragment is what is needed and that's what his real fans will give him. . .respect and encouragment! Just keep doing what you're doing!

You must be one of his 6th grade girlfriends. (What up) I guess you have not been taught proper English. Is this Ebonics that the School system is teaching now days.I am not trashing this kid at all if you would take the time to look at the rating I gave him it would show that. Oh by the way I had a great day, and nor am I a frustrated musician.

What Up?
Slow Down probably is just having a bad day, or is a musician "frustrated most likely!" The kid is talented and is a real sweetheart who cares about his fans! Go Johnny Go!
