Django Walker's music appeals to a different variety than those of the previous 2 or 3 comments obviously. Songs like College Life are anthems of waht it's like to be in college; that being said it obviously won't appeal to people who live and abide by the great Jerry Jeff Walker. And to the person who wrote the comment about how you aren't from Texas and Django and Kevin Fowler aren't as great as everyone from Texas thinks(about 2 or 3 comments down) based solely on the fact that they use a lot of Texas references...Why are you on this website? This website was founded on the basis of letting people know and appreciate that style of music. So before you go and criticize them you need to understand one thing: You have to be from this great state to understand the love and passion that we not only have for our state (as witnessed in every good Texas Country song)but also the love that we have for our music.

I agree 100% this guy is terrible if it wasnt for his dad he would be a nobody. his music makes my ears burn, and he is a huge dork that thinks he is cool which makes even funnier that he is terrible.

I also agree with Scott and Grant, Django is terrible, here is my evidence 1) The live version of Texas on my mind 2)His performance of "Luckenbach Texas" on the Waylon Jennigs Tribute, two of the most God Awful performances ever.

I agree with Scott. Anyone who has seen him live must know that the studio must do a ton of work to make this guy's voice sound barley respectable. The song writing is very thin also. The sad truth is that if his dad wasn't the famous musican he is Walker would just be another person we'd be laughing at on Youtube. I live in Texas now and it seems all you have to do here is throw Texas references into every song about 14 times and everyone will love it (Kevin Fowler is terrible). How about everyone starts actually listening to these songs before they automatically think everything from here is great. I love living here, but it's nice to still have an open mind about things. Go listen to The Band of Heathens, then play a Django Walker disc and tell me they are on the same level. Also, if you don't like someone's comment on here why don't you write something back that actually backs up your opinion with facts about...oh I don't know...the music you are talking about. This isn't 3rd grade recess. Also, download the live version of Django doing Texas on my Mind. It's a stitch.

hey scott let me just say shut the hell up about Django he's amazing new artis, i got the chance to see him live this summer, he opend up for Jason Boland and the Straglers, in Tyler Tx. he put on a awsome show his band sounded great and he was a good entinar, Django is going to make an outstanding artis and the next time he's close to the area i will be at his concert. You need to get in touch with good music.

I saw Django on Saturday night in Grapevine. Granted, it wasn't a top venue, but I expected more. Way too many covers. Way too little of his own good songs. I think Walker is a good singer, and I like listening to his cds. He is not a good entertainer. The show was poorly organized, sometimes taking a couple of minutes between songs. I left the concert very disappointed, and I would be very wary of paying money to see him again.

Caught Django at the Glass Cactus in Grapevine Texas. He blew us all away with his set which is more Ragweed than JJW. Texas legend David Holt is on guitar and the band is incrediably tight.
