I feel sorry for you saps who havent figured out what a tool he is. The cover of the CD pretty much says it all. Thanks, but my $ is going to CCR and other bands who arent spineless nashville rascall-flats wannabes.

I pre-ordered this CD & was so glad I did!!! I love this CD – it starts off rocking with the title track and the good times and great sounds just keep coming! I’ve recently seen Pat a couple of times for the first time since he started working the new songs into the show. I was amazed about how fluidly everything flowed together. The new music right along with the old! (and he does play the old stuff … the man’s put out like 10 albums now – which is great cause now every night the show can be a little different) In particular, I love the range of this CD – from rock to country and in between, plus I think it may contain one of the most amazing songs I’ve ever heard anyone do in “I’m Trying to Find It.” OMG – you just have to hear that one! I have all Pat’s albums and have been listening to him forever and will continue to be a proud and happy listener.

I love the CD!! And to the person who asked when was the last time Pat played Songs About Texas and Here We Go at a show - the answer is Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Delta Downs Racetrack in Louisiana. And we even got a bit of Rain in Lafayette too. Maybe you should quit acting like you know what happens at a show and go to one. Pat is doing a great job! I think all of you sold out on Pat. Not the other way around.

This is exactly what I would expect from Pat and his band. The energy and emotion we have loved Pat for all along but, with some maturity. It is the Pat I have loved for years but not the same music again.

Cannonball is a different sound for Pat Green. Not bad, just different. Lot's of artists evolve over time. Look at Tim McGraw's work from 10 years ago vs now. Does it sound the same-no. But he was able to build his career through mainstream exposure such that he has as much artistic freedom as he wants now. While Cannonball may sound like a bit of a departure, it is a wonderfully written and executed CD. The more you listen to it, the better you like. "I'm Trying To Find It" is a poignant search for those things left behind. "Dixie Lullaby" brought a tear to my eye the first time I heard it. Give this CD a try.

Does this sound like Pat of 10 years ago? No, it doesn't. Does it still sound very, very good, and better than most mainstream country? Yep, it does. Pat is the same human being underneath it all, just older, wiser, and with a new set of experiences. I think he described his own evolution best: "If you‘re 40 years old and married with kids and still writing about drinking and doing all that junk, then you‘ve probably got a 12-step program in your future." Carry on!

This stuff is crap, ive been listening to pat since i was in the 8th grade and Im now 21 and it bums me out to see this kind of music come from him. Might as well be Rascal Flatts or Keith Urban.

I'm laughing my arse off reading these reviews. I was sitting here wondering if I should give cannonball a shot after that disaster, "lucky ones". Thanks for clearing things up for me!
