this cd is crap ,just like lucky ones, i understand that he wanted to get more of a fan base, but hell his music is starting to sound like pop country, and pop country makes me sick. pat was the one that turned me into a texas country fan, back in the dancehall dreamer and songs about texas days. so dont waste your money.

Wow. I didn't think it could get any worse than Wave on Wave and Lucky Ones but obviously I was wrong. Don't waste your money on this one guys. For those of you holding out hope for another Three days or Carry On those days are long gone. This cd completes Pats transformation from great Texas singer songwriter to Kenny Chesney's opening act.

Pat Green is a sell-out. This CD is the worst (even compared to the last 2 disasters). He needs to get back to singing some more Walt Wilkins tunes and forget about becoming a pop idol. BOYCOTT THIS CD and help Pat find himself again!

I am a huge fan of Pat, and I must say this CD was somewhat disappointing. And it's NOT because I'm a Texan that is PO'd because he isn't singing about dancehalls and Lonestar Beer. Pat had already moved away from that stuff on Wave on Wave and Lucky Ones, and I LOVED both of those CD's. My problem is that I loved Pat's music because it was different from the stuff I hear on country radio every day, and this CD sounds freakishly like something I might hear from Keith Urban or a newer Kenny Chesney CD. I can live with a Nashville sound, but this CD is filled with Nashville lyrics. Songs like "Don't Break My Heart Again" and "Sing 'Til I Stop Cryin" on the last two albums were cool because they were just a little different from the usual commercial country (not so cliche and straightforward). Pat seems to have lost that touch on this CD. Another complaint I have is with the sound. It's "muddy", and by that I mean all the instruments are blended together. A keen ear can hear the fiddle and occasional steel guitar in the background, but it's tough to make out over the guitars. For example, "Love Like That" is a pretty good song on this CD, but I think it would sound a lot better if the fiddle was brought to the front a little more. Overall, this CD isn't bad. Cannonball, Way Back Texas, Love Like That and the single are solid songs that I do like. It will probably appeal to more people than his past CD's. I'm not so sure that's a good thing though. A couple of weeks in my CD player is about all this CD will get.

This is Pat's best work of yet. For anyone who says it is just another sell out record, I say open your mind and experience more than just songs about beer and pot. These songs have more depth and soul than anything Pat has done before. Great job yet again.
