I think this is a great album, I like jack blue, its a great song. if you dont like his music, you might want to go back to your nashville country
FIRST OF ALL.... CHRIS KNIGHT IS NOT FROM TX. HE IS FROM SLAUGHTERS, KY. I HAD THE OPPPRTUNITY TO SEE HIM PERFORM IN CHARLOTTE LAST WEEKEND. HE IS A VERY NICE PAERSON AND MOST DEFINATELY THE BEST SONGWRITER IN THE BUSINESS. IF YOU THINK HE IS BORING THEN.. YOUR'E JUST NOT LISTENING!
First off, the recording production on this album is terrible. The guitar sounds screechy and tinny, instead of full, and there is hardly any bass at all. Needs to be remixed BAD. Second, it's more of the same ol' same ol' with this guy. Guy shoots someone, guy runs from cops, so-and-so is dead, he's becoming a cartoon character of himself, afraid to take risks, like a Robert Earl except darker, playing the same song over and over. Some may like it, but I wish sometimes he would do something really different. He used to be my favorite TX singer, and he is a super talent, but he is stagnating.
I never write reviews on here, but I've stepped back from the music biz for the past 7 months. I was listening to "Enough Rope" last night on my way home from a buddy's house. I hope people take the time to stop and listen to Chris and what he has to say. Absolutely one of the best, if not the best song writer in country, rock music today. I love every release he has put out and respect him a great deal. I haven't heard the new acoustic release, but I think I'll try and find it today. Chris, if you ever read this, we have never met, but I love what you do. Many thanks for making great sounds.

I should have left this weeks ago. Two things have happened since I last left a review on Chris. 1. I finally have all of his records (cd's are what you get from a bank). Trailer Tapes is fab. Just Chris and his guitar. Stripped down to a rawness that makes him unique. 2. I finally got to see him perfom live and talk with him. One hellve of a guy. He is the essence of a singer/songwriter in the tradition of Steve Earle, the Robinson brother, etc. I have not heard a song of Chris' I didn't like. Buy his records go see him live. You want be disapointed. If you are, you must be listening to Tim McGraw too much.....now he sucks....
chris knight is one of the best...this cd is awesome, i love acoustic music...chris knights first cd is the best music i own, its 12 years old and i still listen to it weekly...
Stumbled upon Chris Knight by accident. I had heard his name, but didn't know anything. His show at the Continental Club was awesome. I like It Ain't Easy Being Me and Framed. Voice sounds like John Mellencamp, but fits in well with Texas Music. Definitely going to check him out some more.
Chris Knight turned me around
when I so fed up with that Nashville Bull poop. Thank you
Xm Radio and Lonr Star Music.
He is the real deal. Realism
at it's best.
I am a relatively new Chris Knight fan but I love this cd! Every song is heartfelt and real. Something Changed and Move On in particular kick some ass. I will soon own everything this stud has recorded.
Great CD! Chris said he was angry when he wrote these songs....I just think he was being real and didn't give a **** what others thought. Strong music....other artists should take notice!
