I just heard them on CMT Pure and I really thought they were very good! They have such a natural country and pure sound about them. The song was awsome.. Got Get It Boys!!!!!!
You know George Strait never wrote one of his top selling hit singles and they don't call him "King George" for nothing, and he still has air time on real radio stations like KHYI out of Dallas, not just the posers.... so ya know think about that one..not to say that it doesn't hurt to write your own songs once in a while..

Ok.. You got me there. I forgot who exactly wrote it, but the point is still the same just it was his connection with Kent. My degree in Texas Music isn't complte yet, but I still feel I know a lot about it. And I want Kent to put out a CD. He has written so many songs that everyone covers.
Radney Foster had nothing to do with Randy getting "Hill Country." You would think that with your 3.4 at UT you could figure out that Kent Finlay wrote it and Randy has been playing Cheatham Street for years. There's the connection.
No, I didn't attack your opinion on Randy Rogers Band. I'm one of their biggest fans, and like you I feel they are drawing a new crowd (nashville). This is unfortunate because their old stuff was much more wonderful to listen to, even if the songs were written by someone else. This new cd is not as good, there is hardly any soul in it. I always find myself pulling out ROLLERCOASTER or LIKE IT USED TO BE, just as a reminder of how much they were apart of those records. Have a lovely day!
