I think it is GREAT for someone who likes the song but that is not into pop. His video matches the song better then hinders sloppy video of a guy in love with his ex. All the guy in that video has to do is break up. But in Jack's video he is in a married and he is trying to stay married to his wife even though he wants her so bad. The tempo is really nice and for a country girl I am glad there is one out there that fits that song better then hinder and Jack is the man. I have never heard about him until tonight when I heard it on my local radio station and I thought who is that singing and I am greatful!

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Clint. Have you heard Jack's version of "Lips of an Angel"? Awful! I understand he wants to make more money and succeed in the music business, but he's losing his loyal fanbase in the process.

He's well on his way to becoming a bona fide pop sensation. I hope he can stomach singing "Happy Happy" and making fun of "something catchy, something funny" and turning around to sing "Love You." He and Pat Green would make good bedfellows.

I have followed Jack's career closely since 1996 when I first saw him at Jerry Jeff's Laborfest. I was scared that he would eventually sellout when others finally figured out what I and few others already knew. He deserves the success he is having and has paid a lot of dues. I remember seeing him one night in Kansas City...after the show in a poophole bar called Davey's Uptown, Jack was laid out in a pool of his own sweat in the back of a poopty Ford van. He left his balls on that stage that night...just like he does each and everynight! He's not selling out...he's reaping the rewards from years of busting his ass! Keep rockin' Jack!!!

As a longtime Texas music lover and also a resident of Nashville, I thought this latest release by Mr Ingram represented a stroke of genius in combining what he does best - live performance - with some studio cuts - the latter of which have taken him to the top of the charts and a greater audience. Aided by an alliance with Toby Keith's label, a man notorious for scrapes with the Nashville power structure before giving up in protest to start his own company, their music bears little in comparison or sensibility. Perhaps the common thread between them is an unflenching vision of how their own music should be. Anyway you slice it, the heart of this artist is his ability to convey and resonate universal themes which grab the average listener in intimate places and to infuse with fresh hooks and powerful emotion. The history of music is repeating itself. Jack is a great songwriter with a rare gift of knowing what makes a song universal.

I agree with Prid. What happened to angry Jack? The last show I saw of Jack was at Hurricane Harry's where he preached about his roots to texas country. Especially now with his version of some sappy emo rock song. Angry Jack has now changed to Nashville :) Jack.
