This dude is an incredible performer.
Jack is one of the best live acts you'll see in and out of Texas. You can feel his heart and soul in his music whether it's on cd or live. His music is definately unique, a refreshing blend of Texas country, rock, blues, folk, and a pinch of pop for flavor. I would definately say buy his albums, but I would beg you to go see him live.
check out the 1st and only "Jack Ingram Forum"!!! http://jackingram.proboards25.com/index.cgi
have fun!
This is the best damn CD out there right now. It comes close to being there at a live show. The only thing I wish he'd have done different would be to include the "My name is Jack Ingram, and I play country music" I've heard hi say so many times during "Are you sure Hank did it this way". Oh well. Spend the rent money on this CD if you have to, you won't be dissappointed!!!
Been a jack fan for a long time...this is clearly his best album. I think he's purposely drifted away from the "texas" craze, and gone his own way. Refreshing.
okay maybe i am just a huge jack ingram fan but i love the new extra volts cd. I only wish that it was possible to have added them to the electric cd in the first place because Electric would be the best Jack Ingram cd ever.Run to Me is one of the best songs i have ever heard and to hear it sung in person is a great treat. If you ever get he chance to hear Jack play in person with his band be sure not to pass it up. The Beat up Ford Band is awesome.
This cd seems like an afterthought. Only 'A Little Bit' is even worth listening to.
I like Jack's stuff but I feel it is often boring and to heartfelt to make a listener truly dig his stuff. I think there is something different about Jack Ingram that separates him from other Texas/Americana songwriters and for that he is special. I wasnt too impressed by Electric as I have been by some of his other albums. I have yet to see him live and I hope he starts making his way down here to South Texas!
Jack didn't write his new song "little bit"
