Texas Fans must be spoiled. All Jack's CD's are excellent. Our wish came true when Jack and Band decided they would take an all-too-infrequent vacation from the Loan Star state and played a show in Davis, California on the "Hey You" tour. I have heard just about every roots rock/ honky tonk/ americana band out there over the last decade and Jack is at the top of the list. Great song writing, great vocals, great band -- and he put on a great show! Look forward to the next CD release and the next West Coast tour. If it were not for Dave Alvin -- heck we would starve here in the Golden State.
Jack is the greatest. He puts on the best shows, and as always delivers the best music. This guy is going to be huge.
FIRST OFF, WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THIS GUY? I HAD HIS CD BEFORE I HAD EVER SEEN HIM LIVE, AND REALLY LIKED HIS MUSIC. BUT WHEN I WENT TO SEE HIM I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED. HE ACTED LIKE HE WAS ON CRACK. HE SPENT THE WHOLE SHOW BASICALLY CRAWLING ON THE FLOOR OR SWEATING PROFUSELY. VERY, VERY SAD....WITH ALL THE GREAT TEXAS MUSICIANS COMING TO THE FOREFRONT RECENTLY, THIS GUY BETTER STRAIGHTEN UP OR HE'S GONNA GET LEFT IN THE DUST! WHAT A WEIRDO!!
The best "Texas Music" there is. What else is there to say.
We saw Jack in concert on Friday night and this is my fourth time to see him perform this year. I would have to say that this was his BEST performance this year! He had so much energy it was addicting! Plus, I have never seen him break so many guitar strings! : ) Can't wait to see him again!
Jack is the nicest guy and his band is the greatest! We've seen them many times and he always knocks us out AND he always has time for his fans. His songs are aimed at the heart and at the soul and not the mainstream -- definitely go see him and the Beat Up Ford Band if they're in your area and support his music where ever you are -- he's the best.
i listin to the pat greens and the charlie robinsons just like everyone else......but if you want a true to the heart texan, jack is the man. im just like everyone else... i know the favorites, but i got into jack through songs he did with rog and pat... and hes the man..... he plays texas country... not that shit you hear on the radio.
ingram's the best. just wish
he could make up to tulsa.
I've seen Jack three or four times, and every show has been unbelievable. Wolfdance in Ft. Worth, Billy Bob's, and a couple times in Denton. You don't just hear every song; you feel it. Jack Ingram and the Beat Up Ford Band are freakin' awesome!
