Into The Fray
This is an amazing album. I just recently heard Zack Walther for the first time, and I they have not disapointed for new Red Dirt music. The songs are very well crafted and thats what I look for in Texas Music. This album and well as their last album is great, top to bottom. By far my favorite new artist.

Amazing, sublime, surprising. So you cover one of the most iconic songs in music? Gutsy. So you make the term "cover" seem trivial? Well if you are Paula Nelson apparently you do! I love her voice, phasing and the total honesty of her performance. I was concerned when I saw the song but wow...really Paula Nelson is a treasure. I think vocally and as an artist she feels like she is in the pocket in control and although a veteran feels like she is just getting her swagger on and ready to leave an indelible mark on music. LISTEN NOW!!!

Beautiful Mistake
Lisa Morales Beautiful Mistake Zaino Make no mistake, Lisa Morales’ Beautiful Mistake is the masterwork of a songwriter taking life’s trag- edies — its disappointments and those desperate midnight-hour stares into the soul — and turning them into personally cathartic, yet universally reverberating, songs. This is much more real than a peek into the journal of a forlorn, heartbroken twentysomething. Morales gives us the hard-earned honest emotions that only a far wiser women with new perspectives on life and love would be willing to wear so proudly on her sleeve. Morales wrote the material on Beautiful Mistake in the wake of both her mother’s death and the dissolution of her marriage. “Fool That I Am” finds Morales taking stock of both events (“Here it is more than a year and I’m finally waking up“). On “They’re Gone,” she mourns the departure of both mother and husband as well as the futile realization of fate (“I can’t stop this all from happening — goodbye”). But it’s not simply “woe is me” from Morales. “Wanna Be in Love” may well be the sexiest song this side of Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.” Produced by Michael “Cornbread” Traylor with contributions from the likes of Walt Wilkins, Scrappy Jud Newcomb, Dustin Welch and Matt Giles, Beautiful Mistake emanates unblemished truth from beginning to end. Firewater
Album Review
Musically, it sounds like Zeppelin. Lyrically and vocally, has a Skynyrd sound to it. Great songwriting and guitar and another great album for Whiskey Myers.

John David Kent
JDK is ready for prime time. This disc goes way beyond its first single "My Girl" and several other radio friendly hits to showcase off-the-charts musicianship and songcraft. Anyone who has seen a live show knows that the virtuosic guitar licks and sweet harmony vocals of Michael Graska, the incredible fiddle work of Jason Andrew and the steady back beat of Tony Kent and Jamey Gleaves elevate John from a great singer-songwriter to a band leader extraordinaire - this should be the year that the rest of world recognizes this talented band...and keeps their fantastic debut CD playing on repeat.
