See You At The Next Light
EQ's best studio album to date. A sound that appeals to everyone with brilliant vocals and incendiary guitar. Oh, and don't forget the grooving bass in the mix coming from the man himself Case Bell. If you have any kind of a taste for good music you will want to buy this album for yourself or that special someone's stocking this Christmas.

A Southern Horror (2 CDs)
Have been a fan of alt-country/roots rock since 1972 and this cd and the band's live show are as good as it gets. Nothing is polished up or over produced - good songs, solid band, and a front man with a gritty voice.

Halfway Out Of The Woods
Just 1 stinkin' review? What's up wit' dat? (It kinda sounds like M. McClure mighta written it hisself...nah...) McClure is just the 3rd-best songwriter in America (North), is all. And the band is a sumbitch. Go buy this thing.

Halfway Out Of The Woods
Where to begin? I'm not sure I could ever give a fitting introduction to this band. After 5 albums of pure excellence, I have come to a definite conclusion: Mike McClure and his band are, without a fragment of doubt, one of the most underrated, intuitive, and skilled bands my ears have ever had the pleasure of listening to. Actually, let me rephrase that. They are THE best band I have ever discovered in the Texas scene. From the clever beats, thundering bass, thought provoking lyrics, or the vast array of guitar work that has been so painstakingly implemented without the aid of a major record label, create a unique and fluid sound that never grows stale. Mike is getting new music out faster than any artist I have discovered in this scene. He and his band have rightfully earned every bit of attention from every individual that loves this scene and wishes for it to prosper. These three men are excellence at its best, and you owe it to yourself to find them now, especially in a music scene that has taken a sudden plunge in musical and artistic quality. From what I have heard so far, this is the best one since Foam, and that is saying something.

Junky Star
Album Review
Junky Star is another great album by a great singer/songwriter. Not sure what some people are smoking, but Roadhouse was a great album too.

A Crooked Road
"A Crooked Road" is simply the most soulful record I've ever heard, bar none. Just beautiful music. Thank you, Mr. Scott, for pouring your heart out on tape for us.
