Still the best artist on this site!!!!
I got this CD when I saw Cory Morrow at Gruene Hall. Dub Miller opened and Doug was with him I beleive. I had seen Doug live before one time and he really cracked me up so I jumped at the chance to pick up this CD. Well, I seriously suggest this CD for when you feel like sitting around and drinking some beer with all your friends. He has some really funny songs on here. The thing I thought was really cool was how not only were the songs funny but yet all of them had very very catchy tunes. Doug is a pretty funny guy....for good clean beer drinking fun this is a must have at your next gathering.
If I were stranded on an island with just 5 CD's (assuming I had something to play them on) they would be:
1. Jerry Jeff Walker - "Viva Terlingua"
2. Willie Nelson - Stardust
3. Willis Alan Ramsey
4. Steve Earle - Copperhead Road

If you like story tellers, you will love this CD. It has stories from the heart, including my personal favorite, Blue Eyes. And if you like the CD, you'll love the live performance. This guy is not only the rising star of Texas country music, but he is also a genuine human being, which makes his music all the more enjoyable.
He doesn't live in Texas but you can't tell by listening to this CD. I it is incredible...
I agree with Tom, this is probably the best all around cd that I own. Although Chris isnt officially from Texas, his music fits right in with most of the artists in this genre of music. If you are looking to buy a cd, put this at the top of your list, you wont be disappointed. Looking forward to the next album.......
