GDA is one to talk about a wife controlling his every move! GDA stands for GD A$$hole. A name given to him by his wife (a more whipped pup he could not be.)This is the same guy who loves K.D. Lang, and has a Lemon for a head!
Country Mike, you called it. I know LK, he mainly listens to Chesney, Paisley, Underwood (his favorite) so he is more used to "Top 40" and not the true sounds of solid Texas music. Guys, give him a break, his wife controls everything he does, including what he is allowed to listen to!
Hey Cooder, nice personal attack. Just tried to give an opinion, don't care for the album and I have all of JBS CD's, plus have seen them live numerous times. Familiar with the steel guitar too, and simply thought there was an awful lot and yes, too much emphasis on the recording. And if that's not good enough for you, then you can go fist FU*K yourself. There, now I've sunk to your level, Dipsh*t.
I agree with Country Mike, High in the Rockies is a bad-a** CD, and LK can go suck it. If LK thinks it"s too "twangy", he can STF up before Roger Ray gives him a country-a$$ whipping! Peace out!
Twangy?! Twangy?! Yeah, its called a steel guitar buddy. Sounds like you've been listening to the nashville glammer country too much to remember what REAL country music sounds like. Roger ought to kick your ass for saying that!! You can never, EVER, have too much steel!!
bye the way, wonderful album!!
Huge JBS fan, and this is a giant disappointment, was really looking forward to this one too. Twangy, overproduced, no real crowd input. Last live one was great, this stinks. Waste of 14 bucks. "High in the Rockies" says it all.
Love the new stuff live. Backslider's Blues is truly moving and has made me look at my life in a whole new perspective. Great Cd all around. Love the remakes of the classics...can't go wrong with "The Hag" and Tulsa Time!
I think this is a great disc!! For those of us trapped here in Florida where Red dirt is made of sand,It gives us a glimpse of the Steamboat experience!! Top 3 songs on the disc are Down Here On Earth, Blowing Thru The Hills, and Time In Hell. Great live disc!!Thanks JB&S and Lonestar !!
Best one yet from JBS. He is back, and better than ever. This CD does justice to the Red Dirt sound.
I have been waiting since Steamboat for this album to drop and it is fantastic! Gallo de Cielo is far and away the best song on the album. Great job on this live CD. Buy this one now and tell your friends. Thank you Lonestar Music for getting it to us lost Arizonan's a day early...
