I love JB&S. This is a tight band with a tight sound. Jason's an excellent songwriter. They hold up live and in the studio. I own every album and listen to them all, though Somewhere in the Middle is by far my favorite. If you own one country music CD make sure it's one of JB&S's.

This new record is one of the BEST true country records I have heard in a while. I only listen to the old stuff, and this is a solid comparison! Great JOB!

I love the latest CD "The Bourbon Legend". Jason Boland is a songwriting genius. Anyone who loves to hear great lyrics and real outlaw country will love this record. I have been a Boland fan since Pear Snaps, which has always been my favorite. I think Bourbon Legend is better. And that is quite a compliment! By the way Jason and the boys are fantastic live!

"No One Left to Blame" is the best song I have heard in at least two years. Being someone with a short attention span, I can't remember what the last best one was. This album has the sound and feel of Pearl Snaps, which is the best first album ever. As someone who drives all over the country all the time, I think the best kind of an album is one you can listen without it annoying you while your CD player keeps playing it over and over. One that is kind of there while your mind wonders, almost like a soundtrack to what you are thinking or mulling over or just trying to clear your mind with. The Stragglers are awesome at making these kind of albums. A coulpe of weeks ago I drove all the way from Minneapolis to DFW with this album going the whole time. Never once did it occur to me to change the CD, track, or even the volume. Amazing.

It you listen to Live @ Billy Bob's and dont feel like having a party, you aint got a pluse! I saw Jason and the band live @ Cains Ballroom a couple of months back. Hardest working and best live act I've seen in years. These guys are my new favorites.

The Bourbon Legend
Simply put, one of the best albums to come out in a long time. the songs are a bit slower than some of his previous but the lyrics and the music are great. while bringing back the sound of the original outlaws, he makes it all his own and is still the most originalof all the texas and red dirt music movement

I love Jason Boland and The Stragglers, they are one of my all time favorite groups. I just purchased the Bourban Legend. This cd is very different from the rest. I missed the up beat music I am used to hearing. I didnt feel the songs were rowdy and fun like the other albums. This isnt my favorite album.
