Don't Mess With Texas Music
Great collection of tunes - go to www.texasmusicproject.org and check out the story behind this project. It was signed into a Bill by the State of Texas. Note the cut on the CD by Texas own Rockabilly legend Ronnie Dawson - this maybe one of his last efforts to give the world his music - great stuff.

Don't Mess With Texas Music
This is a GREAT ALBUM FOR A GREAT CAUSE. Lots of strong material and performances here by some of Texas' finest artists. The only problem is that it's gonna take a lot of CD compilations to include a full sampling of the immense and diverse musical talent found in the Lone Star State. It's really too bad that some people are so shallow that they can totally miss the point and the musical talent from being brainwashed by political hatemongerers. I am neither a hardcore liberal or conservative, but a balanced human who chooses to think with my own brain instead of the type of emotions felt by Nazi book burners at the big "love" bonfire . Sorry for the little diversion folks, I know this board is about music. So... my review gives highest praise to not only the artists on the album doing something good for people, the state, nation, and the planet, but also for the dedication and commitment of those who made this important project possible. Keep up the good work folks, and I look forward to many future CDs produced by the Texas Music Project and the artists involved in it.

Don't Mess With Texas Music
This is a great compilation for a great cause - artist / musicians actually donating to raise money for children. Wide variety of music and a good taste of Texas all in one. Whoever Texas Tanner ( bad review because the Chick's song )is must be a complete idiot or some drug store cowboy in drag.

Brewed in Texas
I think that this cd is wonderful. As a part of the Throw Down Cookers, we use this cd at every cook off. I would love to have another cd like this.

Kampfire Kuts - Volume 2
A masterful collection of tunes from the best of the singer-songwriters who have performed at festivals like Kerrville. The highlight of this recording is Erik Moll's "Waltzing on the Stars" - a beautiful, catchy tune that will dance inside your head for as long as it takes for you to play it again. Catch Erik's own CDs on Fire Ant Records.

Lonesome On'ry And Mean
With some exceptions, this was a very disappointing commemorative Waylon compilation. Some of the performers were way out of their league and did not do Waylon's stuff justice, the song selections were questionnable(much of his best work missing, the title track performance was train wreck, and it overlooked including many of Waylon's buddies. Abysmal!!!
