This compilation CD is one that you can leave out of your collection, with nothing new from any of the artists on the CD its not really worth buying. With compilation CD's there needs to be something you can't find anywhere else, and this one forgot that. Still has amazing artists and great music, but if you know these artists, you probably already have all of these songs.
Any CD with Pat Green AND Reckless Kelly sounds good to me. I’ve seen Cross Canadian Ragweed live – pretty awesome. Looking forward to hearing the other bands on this CD.
I think this album is great fun! I'm not even a big fan of country music and I loved it! Eleven Hundred Springs "See You In the Next Life" is my favorite. "Beer, Bait and Ammo" is a great spoof of rednecks!! It's one of those find-yourself-singing-it-in-the-grocery-store-line kind of songs! This cd is a great opportunity to hear some of the music Texans have been keeping to themselves!
total cheese, only for the rats
i love this cd it is absolutely awesome. it is really great to listen to when your drunk or gettin that way.
Don't have this yet, but am ordering it now......becasue I like the compilation albums very much....kinda like having my ideal radio station! :)......as far as the Bleu/Matt thing goes....it's a g reat song, don't care who wrote it, but I love hearing Bleu sing it.....one of the first ways I introduce great texas music to my non Texas friends...they always love this song. I also love Bleu's cd and am waiting, waiting for a new one. Keep on digging those Texas tunes!
I just finally found this cd at WalMart....It's a great cd that I been playin over & over since I got it....great job guys!
"Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound" alone is enough reason to by this cd! This is the best cover of this song ever done. I have seen Cooder Graw do it live a couple of times and will swear it is fantastic.
The only reason any of you are mad off @ Bleu for recording Matt's song is because he has made it out of Austin and is doing well for himself. Matt is right where he wants to be....in Austin. Just because Bleu recorded someone else's song doesn't make him a bad person. There are 11 other tracks on the album and he wrote all but 1. Just appreciate the music for what it is and don't be so critical.
I already know my favorite song on this album is going to be "Whiskey River" by Cross Canadian Ragweed. Ive heard them do it live at least 4 times and its the best version of the song ive ever heard.
