Just when you think he can't top the last one, Phil comes back out swinging and releases this garage vol 1 greatness. Very nice Phil, very nice. A must own for the lovers' of High Tide.......Also check out P2itunes linked to Phil's website and buy any album for $4 right now.
This CD is really good. If you are a true P2 fan, you will really enjoy this one.
this is by far my favorite phil album. This album is filled with beautiful melodies from tracks like "Nowhere" "Gaurdian Angel" "Song for Keeps," and the highlight "Beautiful day." A worthy standout would be "Nowhere" with catchy lyrics such as "others say were lost i say we're free" and by far my favorite, and old camp favorite, Beautiful Day, the most underrated song in the entire music industry. Definintly a 5-star cd song writing and performance wise.
this album has an overall great feel to it. It actually sounds like people getting together with instruments and playing together, without all that computer and electronic stuff (other than electric guitar). the highest points are "blood warm rain" "song of the doorman" and the cover of bob dylan's "released" (originally 'i shall be released'). overall, a killer cd.
His CD's do not do justice to who Phil Pritchett is. You have to take in a live show to understand what I am talking about. First time I saw Phil after a few songs i wasn't sure about him, he was definitely different. But once he got a few songs into the set I was starting to understand that this guy was something special. He can flat out entertain you like nobody i have ever seen. He doesn't have the best voice, but given the chance there is nobody I would rather see live. His CD's are good, but please don't pass judgement on this guy until you see a live show.

I've enjoyed reading these comments. Good points all around. I'm road manager for a new band now and I can tell you we have had the same discussions about Phil. WHat ever you think, you have to admit that his stuff gets people talking, excited, pissed or both. He always does something new and interesting and he's the guy that my friends in other bands have had many a late night heated debate on. Rock on Phil! Keep everyone talking!
