My 5-star comments on Roger Creager were not intended to do anything but build this artist and his band up. I certainly didn't intend to get Charbroiler broiling.

Dearest P. Mitchell, I have upped my rating of Roger to a 3 Star solely on the basis of my enchantment in your proposition that we should take in a concert together. Perhaps we could meet before hand for pre-show drinks, becoming a little tipsy. As the show winds on and our loins begin to burn with excitement, we finally stopped denying ourselves of the passion we wish to share with each other. I pull you toward me with one shifty man-thrust, and as Roger ends with one final chord of one of his beloved anthems, we can ride off into a texas painted sunset and continue our night at a destination of your choice. Please oh Please P. Mitchell reveal your true identity and make a lonely gun-slingin cowboy the luckiest texas country music fan this side of the World. I will be awaiting your reply and our night together with Roger.

It doesn't if Roger Writes all of his songs or not. Not every singer does. Hell Pat Green and Cory Morrow made a whole CD of other peoples songs and no body seemed to care. Roger is just as the two the those guy and I can't wait to see him again in concert

To Charbroiler. I wonder if there are any other musicians out there who sing someone else's music? As I understand it, Roger didn't write LA Freeway, either. That doesn't make him any less of a musician... nor does it make him any less electrifying, energetic, or addictive when he sings it. Charbroiler...lighten up and have some fun. Things look good around here! Wanna go to a concert?

I Got The Guns
The first time I heard this CD i was shocked that it wasn't as insulting as some of the lesser known college frat bands that I heard of from say Lubbock or, hell, while we're on the subject: Since when did Cross Canadian Ragweed and Jason Boland and The Great Divide become "texas music" when they're not from Texas and they're not country. . .excuse me, except for Jason Boland? Anyway, as I was saying, this album insulted me on many levels. Roger writes like a nursery rhymer, so his song are catchy like Toby Keith, but they're kind of like the "we're having ravioli" commercial, something that you would pay to get out of your head. Secondly, the musicianship is as this Aaron said before: mediocre at best. There isn't a moving portion of this album what so ever because all these musicians are hired guns. Just because Roger pays them, doesn't mean that they believe in him, and it shows. I'm most insulted about Roger's lyrics, which are his least flattering attribute. I'm a native texas and served in the military for enough time to genuinely miss my home state. I take great offense to those who try to trivialize what this state stands for. If you need a "Tattoo of Texas on your chest" to be a true texan than I guess I ain't one. Some folks don't listen to top 40 "country radio" because nothing is coming out of nashville that means anything to anyone anymore. Roger's stuff is NO different. I'll bet roger never even heard of Jim Lauderdale, or the Derailers, or Leon Payne. I could make that list a lot longer, but i've already wasted enough thought on this pitiful so-called artist. What pains me even further is that some of his fans use this review forum as a message board to slam other's opinions. And if you ask me, most of the fan's options don't have ANYTHING to support their ideas whatsoever. I was given this CD by a friend, and I felt so bad that they spent their hard earned dollars on it, I felt compelled to give them their money back. Anyone who likes this CD is my enemy.

Everyone knows that Roger did not write the everclear song right? It's funny how he milks it like it is his song, too bad it's not! What a toolbox!

I think that Roger has one of the most destinct voices in country music as we speak. He has a certain stage presence that captivates the croud night after night. His songwriting abilities, I believe, are almost if not as good as the likes of Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. He will is on the verge of major stardom. Watch out because here comes Roger Creager.

The concert at the Gypsy Tea Room on 6/28 was outstanding. "He just keeps gettin better every day..." How about Scotty's little brother? Who else was there to witness that? If you saw and heard, you're lucky! That young man is ultra-talented and has a big future in music. Thanks for letting him shine, Roger!
