On behalf of RED CONCRETE, I would personally like to thank the MIKE MCCLURE BAND for helping keep music a pure art form. In a society of drive-thru I’ll have a number 1 ego-sized extra-cheez hold the content easily disposable but make sure it’s recyclable music force-fed to us by the unmotivated gluttonous machines built by our ancestors, Mike stays true to himself and true to us. To compromise yourself is to lie to the world; to compromise the world is to expose all its lies. Art provokes laughter and sheds tears; it creates cuts and leave scars; it starts wars and ends fascism. I am afraid we are on the verge of losing our souls to the consumption of the greed machine. We’ve gotten so used to the taste that we’ve lost our gag reflex. Whether you love it or hate it, quit censoring yourselves and others. Feel free to stand up for what you believe. You don't have to like Mac, but you should respect him. There are few that have touched so much of the music on this site. He is not on the bandwagon, he is driving it. Peace out and keep on rockin the free world.
Hes an amazing song writer, and I dig his rough sound. Ive seen a few shows where he was bein too damn cocky and didnt want to be there, but over all, hes great. One of my favorites.
Very , very impressed. Great song writer, great guitar player and terrific performer. This guy is the real deal! He peforms, he writes fantantistic songs, he produces the best music around. If you get the chance to see Mac, do it. He is one of a kind!!

Mike is probably the greatest songwriter I've ever heard. (in my opinion) I'm 20 right now, and I've been of fan of him and The Great Divide since I was about 11. Thats a lot of shows and a lot of albums. With age his music has gone from "dancehall poetry" to something that I cant really explain. But whatever it is I've been striving towards it since I've started writing songs myself. He's one of the few that's stayed true to who he is and what he wants out of music. He's one that I know I'll be able to enjoy 15 years from now, cause im sure he'll be somewhere in a van on a highway. Peace, Love, and Smell the Glove
