I think Kevin Fowler is truely a great honkytonk singer ever since my sister put on a cd of his, I know that he was something different. He's enthusiastic with his music. I think Kevin Fowler should be going big. My favorite song is "Beer, Bait & Ammo"! Yee-Haw Ya'll!
If you want to hear talented songwriting, don't buy this guy. On his new album, the only songs that are worth anything are the few he didn't write or co-wrote with a pro. I honestly wanted to give him a chance because he's such a nice guy, but come on this stuff lacks any kind of substance. There's nothing wrong with the redneck theme (I like it) but at least try to pull it off with some originality.

I thought I was a die hard rock-n-roll fan. This was until I heard the Kevin Fowler Band on Aug. 8th. I think I am hooked. My friends accuse me of "going to the dark side". Well, if this is the dark side, keep me in the dark because I think I'm here to stay.
Fowler will go a long way in the country music industry. He is very personable as well as a great singer and song writer. I have always been impressed with his music.
I saw Kevin for the first time in concert last month. I could'nt help thinking to myself "where have I been his whole career"? What a remarkable performer. I have since purchased all of his c.d's and listen to them continuiously. He makes you proud to be from Texas. The group I was with also fealt the same way.
Unbelieveable performer! He is what true Texas country music is all about. And when you talk about texas, you are talking about the World! Yee Haw
Kevin's new album is nothing short of pure genius.
I'm learning "Texas music" is a very broad term ranging from hard-core rock to folk to country. I like honkytonk and rockabilly type music myself, but I'm not going to bad mouth artists like CCR or Bleu or lots of others just 'cause I don't prefer to listen to them.
Anyone who has heard Fowler's albums should realize what a tremendous songwriter he is and songwriting is how he'll be remembered.
By the way, to all who read this, you can tell all these negative remarks are coming from the same couple of people. Guys...take some time and change your grammer and sentence structure if you want us to think all these negatives are from different people. I posted my real name here, you know who I am...let's talk about this face to face.
