Mark David Manders
Artist Review
Mark is a great performer and a truly great individual. Several of my buddies and I had the pleasure of hanging out with him after a show once and not only did he share his beer when we ran out but we all got hear the stories behind his songs. Seeing him perform and getting to spend some time with Mark has given me a great appreciation for his music, because I know the man and the story behind the songs. He is a really down to earth guy and he puts on a fun show. He's also a huge supporter of the military and as a soldier I really appreciate that. You will not be dissapointed by any one of his albums.

To really appreciate MDM you have to: 1) See his show live - because the back story to the songs and impromptu jams of the band along with Mark pulling folks up on stage, truly make these events much more than a performance of tunes; and 2) See him in a great venue - like Blaine's pub in San Angelo, in fact spend the weekend there when he's double booked, you'll only leave thirsty for more.

Lance Cobb sounds like quite the character. Im sure he is quite the musician himself and has any room whatsoever to give an opinion on Texas music. If you care to discuss this with him, he may be reached at (817)294-3568. For future reference when you have something negative to say about an artist, keep it to yourself or else Jeffrey P. I. will come for you too.

hey Lance....re-read the article...it did not say anything about throwing beer bottles...he said if they are not throwing beer then we're not doing our job (usually folks spray and shake their beer everywhere when they play "Beer")....if you've ever gone out to have fun and not sit at some boring, stand a mic and sing while girls scream over nothing concert, you would appreciate what MDM brings to the stage...

There should be something more to live music than sitting there listening to the same old boring depression bottled up in song form. Going to a live show should be entertaining and fun sometimes. That would be okay, wouldn't it, Lance? Or is that against the rules? Mark David Manders puts on a fun show. Period. There is nothing wrong with that! More artists should have fun on stage.

Hey Lance... If you knew anything you would know that real "county people" don't call them "cowboy boots", they're just boots! Mark is awesome and I think that the real misrepresentation of Texas is you!
