I have had the pleasure of hearing Kenefick several times and have gotten to know most of the band members. Not only are they an awesome band but, very good people too. Keep up the good work !!
These guys are awesome! They keep you hopping the whole night with their own original style of good ole' Texas sounds. I love their live performances...they are so electric and keep you involved in every song!
I've never been one to follow a particular band, but I make a special point to catch these guys whenever they're in Houston. It's always fun and high-energy. Their own songs are actually very, very good....radio quality. I've lent out my CD several times and then had to buy more. Everyone loves it.
These guys are awesome! Their sound is pure country with all that wonderful TEXAS flavor! Thanks to Kekefick for doing it the right way. There's a little shuffle, a little honky tonk, a little rockabilly, a little cajun, a touch of bluegrass and a lot of just plain old good music in this CD. I can't wait for the next release! And please, guys...don't go Nashville on us!
Great band with a great CD. Live shows are a wonderful mix of originals and traditionals. Friendliest bunch of pickers in South Texas.
Love 'em and hope they get a BIG FAT record deal! They deserve one real soon! Kenefick kicks ass!
Kenefick ROCKED at Antones in Austin!
I saw Kenefick open for Roger Creager last week at Antone's in Austin. Hope these guys get back here soon for their own show, maybe at the Broken Spoke. They are damn good musicians and I enjoyed hearing their original tunes along with some classics. Had a great time!
Kenefick is a sweet sounding band. I am so glad I finally sat down and listened to their CD (got it as a gift for my recent birthday). I have seen and heard so many bands come and go but I am here to tell you this band sounds for real. I was shocked not to see a major record label on their CD jacket. Kenefick's music is original, traditional yet with a edge not heard in a long time. I love their "Texas Sky" tune, and I nearly peeed in my pants because I laughed so hard at their hidden track called "Cows Yall". I'm impressed with it all, and I think Kenefick will be around a while.
Now THAT'S country music the way it ought to be played! The guys really can swing a tune. I can't believe this band of part-time musicians haven't quit their day jobs yet! Their new release "Last Time Was The Last Time" sounds like a hit already, and I still ain't heard 'em on KIKK? What's up with these Houston stations? It's like they've got their noses so far up the butts of the Dixie Chicks that that's all they can see! I wanna hear some REAL country... play KENEFICK!
