Brian is one of the most versatile song stylist I've ever heard. He can break from one of his own tunes into a classic B.W. Stevenson on into a Beatles medley. Love his live shows. A man, his guitar and his songs. Truly an artist. Wished we had in Houston more, or wish I lived in DFW. Catch Brian live when ever you get the chance...
Heard Brian Burns on XM Radio - great stuff. I'm planning to see Brian in concert at Tommy Alverson's Family Gathering - should be great show
This is Brian's best album yet! "Third Coast" is an awesome track; Evangelina and I've Been Everywhere (in Texas) are getting a lot of airplay.
If you like Texas, you must own this cd - you won't regret it!
A wonderful CD of Brian's. I particularly like "Lucy and Desi" and "Whiskey-o". :)
This is my personal favorite of all of Brian's CDs. "Borders to Cross, Bridges to Burn" is an incredible song. I also like "Angels and Outlaws". I could play this CD over and over.
Brian's reading of Travis' letter will send chills through all diehard Texans. It should be mandatory listening for all Texans and visitors to the Alamo. I live only a few miles from the site of the "Crash at Crush". Brian's song about that awesome event is excellent. The CD makes you extremely proud to be a Texan.
I've known Brian since elementary school. I am EXTREMELY proud of his accomplishments. I listen to all of his CDs DAILY. Living only a few miles from the "Crash At Crush" site, the song personally gives me chills everytime I hear it. Brian's reading of Travis' letter should be MANDATORY listening for all Texans and visitors to Texas. When he reads the letter it resonates in the bottom of your soul reminding you of the awesome bravery displayed at the Battle of the Alamo. Keep up the great work Brian! I'm your biggest fan!
This is an awesome CD. I travel on the road and I listen to it over and over. If you enjoy Texas History, you will love it. If you didn't think you like history, you will after listening to this. His music is extradorinary as well. What a genius songwriter! Thanks Brian! I also saw him perform these live. What a great guy.
Powerful, clear voice. The standard all other Texas artists should be held to. His music conjours-up old memories, makes you wish you had been there, and makes you PROUD to be a TEXAN.
After hearing Brian's first CD(Highways, Heartaches, and Honky Tonks) I had to have more. His music is truly what Texas is about. Brians historical accounts from the "Eagle and the Snake" are truely a patriotic memorial to the fighting Texians and Americans who without hesitation, defend Liberty and Freedom from any foe who tries to rule people by means of force! A must have CD for any patriot. I believe I here "Heavy Weather" on the horizon.
