Aside from the first track, which I think he was trying a bit too hard to be "country" on, this is a damn fine album. He is definatly not his Daddy, he has his own sound and his own message. And I for one am loving it.
He's Rollin like a freight train coming straight at you. Playing damn good music like he was born to do. This best thing to come along since Dale Watson.
I saw Shooter at the XTU concert in Philly over the weekend, and I felt he was a highlight of the show. I had the pleasure of eating lunch with his father who was a great performer to associate with. Good luck with your new start. I'll be lookiing for your next cd.
Shooter has a different sound than a lot of country musicans now days, and I liked it. I like how hates Nashville and he rights about it in all of his songs. I recomend picking up the new CD.
My husband turned me on to this CD. I went straight out and snatched it from his truck! I listen to it on the way to work, at work, and on the way home from work. I love the entire CD. The 4th of July is a special time in our lives, and this song describes us headed up to Gatlinburg every 4th of July. My husband is aware that if he and I should divorce that I am coming after Shooter! So look out. Email me if you should read this

Went to see shooter live at gruene. I was so excited about the show for a long time. Was sad to see that the show was over by ten thirty and he played the exact line up of his album. He didn't live up to the hype. Won't be seeing him again. Too bad.
I'm only giving this a 5 'cause there's no option for a 10. Great record from a great kid!
I just got the cd, put the o back in country, and it is great. The late, great Waylon would be proud. A must have cd for the true Texas music fan. I can't put it down, it is that good.
