I loved hearing Shooter's new cd for the first time last night & cannot wait to see him again later this month & get the cd from him! He may not be his Daddy, but by golly....HE IS SHOOTER & HE IS DAMN SURE A GREAT ENTERTAINER & SINGER/SONGWRITER!!!
I was very impressed with his show with willie melson.At first I was like whos this cat? As his band members got on stage I was blown away and impressed with the guitar work and shooter and not to forget the others.But you have a loyal fan and disregard every ones negativity and you guys just keep doing what you are doing and hope to see ya back in TX.
I NEVER like every song on a CD but Shooter has won me over -- country the way it's supposed to be with just enough rock thrown in to kick ass. Buy the CD and you wno't be sorry -- hell I ain't taken mine out of the player since I opened it three weeks ago...

Just bought this CD a few days ago, and I must say it was money well spent.
This album is pure greatness. For all you folks trying to bring Shooter down, fine, try. He will never be his Dad and that's a good thing. Is he using his dad's name? No. If he was he'd use his real name, Waylon Jr. Lets get one thing straight. This album is better than 95% of the junk that is labeled country music. Lets support the guys who aren't trying to be "Mr. Mom" or trying to "Bless the Broken Road." This guy is the real deal.
This entire album IS Solid Country Gold! If you like country music, but hate the manufactured sounds of radio today, this album is for you.
Notice how the majority of the anti-Shooter cult are illiterate buffoons who don't know how to spell or piece together an intelligent phrase? OOH, they're not Shooter Jennings fans!!! No loss whatsoever. Only people with average and above average comprehension can dig the CD. Is it like a rule somewhere that CC Ragweed has to come up repeatedly...damn, I've fallen into the trap.
Since the summer of 1977 I've listened to Waylon Jennings' music -- pretty much exclusively.....I refuse to listen to the radio because it's basically the same bunch of cookie cutter nonsense over n over...For the past 6 weeks, Shooter's new CD has not been out of my deck....Now, I ain't sayin he'll ever do what his Daddy did - because I don't believe that ANYONE ever will.....This album, however, sure is like a breath of fresh air and y'awl'd do well to give it a decent listen.....
Thanx for givin us this music, Shooter. We needed it!!
