Jerry Jeff only gets better with age his lateast CD is as good or better than the rest. DAMN FINE ENTERTAININ'.
The history of popular music, will probably have alot more to say about this man than it tempoarly does now.No one can deliver a song that may or may not be his own and make you believe in it better than jerry jeff walker.even in his heavy drinking days you could hear a whiskey stained soul crying to not to drink backsliders wine or boogie his but off to wingin it home to Texas.
There might be another Elvis.hell there might be another Beatel's.but there will never be another Scamp Walker.
In my youth I was really into music and the guitar... played in bands in the Rochester NY and Cleveland OH area. Cut my teeth on Floyd, Zeppelin, Clapton, Yes, CSN&Y, Rush, Hendrix, Skynyrd and other rock and rollers. Learned the music of Page, Clapton, Steve Howe, Steve Morse, Townsend, note for note. Well, after a while music took a halt for me and the music got a little stale and I went to school and got a degree in Computers and now work as an analyst ho hum...until one day I discovered Jerry Jeff. His stuff definately got the music juices flowing once again. He's the King, what more can I say. The guy lives and breathes music and always has, but since I'm a Northerner (born and raised not far from where the 'man' was hisself) I didn't have ANY exposure to his music at all. But now that I have discovered Jerry Jeff Walker on an impulse I'm ready to Rock n' Roll. How about you?
Woops, I meant to make that 5 stars!

No one can compare to "The Man" when it comes to putting on a live show. Believe me, I've seen a lot of them; REK, Jack Ingram, Reckless Kelly, Pat Green, etc. While each puts on a great show and writes and performs much great music they cannot and do not compare to a JJW live show. The story of his life is played in each show, and he always succeeds in reaching the audiance and making them feel a part of the song.
