WOW. Just bought Aaron Watson's latest CD, and it's a doozy. If you buy only one CD in the next few months, Watson is your best bet. I've listened to it several times already, and the more I listen, the more hooked I become. It's a must-have for any Texas music fan. During a time when new artists are a dime a dozen, Watson's sound stands alone among rookies (and many old-timers as well). He's a gifted song-writer with a smooth as silk voice to match. He's got a pure Texas feel, and his latest CD offering mixes a variety of songs that show off his amazing talent well. The sky's the limit for this guy. Saw Aaron open for Roger Creager last night at the Firehouse in Houston and he came close to stealing the show away from Roger. One hell of a performer and an even better singer and songwriter. I was impressed to no end. BUY THIS CD. Aaron very quickly just jumped to the top part of my favorite (and long) list of Texas artists. He's an amazing talent and speaks to the Texas soul. No "frat boy" type of sound that many of the younger and newer Texas performers seem to be attempting to create. His stuff is classic -- even some swing -- mixed in with enough of a bite to keep you listening. Can't wait to see him again--he kicks. BUY THIS CD
